Stayed for one night on business. Regular visitor to Paris and wanted somewhere a little closer to our office so tried this place on a second hand recommendation that it was OK. Not a great experience, I arrived late to the hotel and considered myself quite lucky that I managed to get booked in as they seemed to have completely shut down for the night. On reading the literature the reception does close at 10pm, which I didn't realise, but as they advertise 24 hour security I'm not sure why it seemed such a problem. Was given a room on the fourth floor. The lift is tiny and when it opened I was staring about a metre away from a room door, which I realised was not mine, there is another door which leads off the to staircase and across to a corridor where I round my room. Not sure why the room is advertised as a single, as it was a studio flat with a pull out sofa bed. I'd describe the room as clean, with all the basic functions of reasonable TV, shower, wifi, etc. but it was pretty depressing with it's low quality kitchenette, old carpet, and unfashionable décor. It was a blessing that I arrived so late in the evening and also had to complete some work, as I didn't have to spend much time thinking about the room. There was no alcohol available in the minibar, a shame as I could have used a beer after a long work day, just a can of coke and a bottle of water in the kitchenette fridge which looked quite sad. The pull out bed was reasonably comfortable. In the morning I realised there were no towels provided. Fortunately I didn't have to leave to walk to the office until 9am so I had time to drip dry! As the check in was an issue the day before I was given no information about breakfast so didn't get the chance to take any. On leaving, I waited for 15 minutes at reception with nobody turning up, despite me ringing the bell a few times. As a last resort I phoned the main telephone line of the hotel and told the guy on the other end (who had very poor English) I was in reception. A few minutes later one of the people that checked me in the night before turned up and dealt with my checkout (approx. £ 100 for the one night), leaving me wondering what the issue was the night before. Left feeling relieved that at least I slept and would definitely not return. For a leisure trip you can do a lot better than a crappy kitchenette and sofa bed, and for business unfortunately it left me wanting to go back to one of the chains such as Ibis, Mercure or Holiday Inn who do cater better for business travellers.
