“Nice Place”
Reviewed 3 November 2011

I was quite pleased by the hotel. We stayed there for 5 nights. Our train was delayed and we came into Paris after dark, which, since I am a woman with 2 children, is something I try to avoid. However, the district surrounding the hotel had plenty of business people walking about and so it was not a problem, that or any other day. The hotel was quite--no street noise or noise through the walls. The staff spoke excellent English and were quite helpful (my French is still a work in progress). The room was clean, and the tiny kitchen and nearby grocery store meant we were able to eat quite cheaply in the evenings. I will say the selection of TV channels is odd, the bed (we had a triple) was extremely firm, and the room was tight when the couch was folded out as others have said. On the other hand, at that point we were going to sleep and hardly walking about. It was also great to have a bathtub and one with boiling water, which was fantastic after walking oneself into the ground. It was also quite easy to get into Paris, it is at the end of line 1, which is Paris's first line and shoots straight to the Louvre etc.

Hotel located well, a short walk to the metro and trains (Le Defence).
The rooms are comfortable and spacious, but the hotel falls in the small things:
There is no curtain, so you waking up at first light at the morning.
Low-level bathroom.
However, a very good Internet connection and an excellent working area.

In summary, a good hotel for business trips.

We just stayed here for one night. We had a kitchen space but the sleeping area was a little small. Each room offered free WiFi access but not supported iphone. I have to say the service is terrible, especially the staff in the reception was rude and unhelpful when we checked in. The restaurant was incredibly mismanaged. We needed to wait a long time for breakfast and got super small seats.

We booked this as a triple for my wife and our 15 year old daughter. There was a large double bed and a camp bed which folded up. When the camp bed was down, there was literally hardly any room at all left to walk around in and we had to move some furniture onto the balcony just to allow the bed to unfold. The photos are very deceptive - they look as if there is plenty of space but there is not for a triple. We also encountered the following issues on the first night - 1. The AC did not work - I eventually persuaded them to move us to another room. 2. There was a lack of pillows - couldn't get any more - solved when we moved room. 3. The safe would not work - again solved when we moved room. The location needs to be understood - there are no bars nearby other than a small bistro and the few resaturants in the defense area where a beer cost 11 euros! However, if there are just two of you and you are prepared to travel into Paris, it would be perfectly OK. Would not recommend for people needing a triple room though.

Room Tip: Don't book as a triple

Me and my family stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is in a quiet place and it's very nice. We were a group of about 50 people from the same country staying there and so at first it became a bit crowded at breakfast because the room is so small ! The problem was solved the next day. There is a good selection of food but we personally expected more, but it was fine. We had a quad room which was very nice, clean and very comfortable indeed. There is a corner shop close to the hotel and from there you can buy food and cook it in the kitchenette in your room. The kitchenette is fantastic : it has a microwave, a dish washer, plates, cutlery etc. We didn't cook anything in our room but we ate at Mc Donald's located at the metro station and there's also a couple of restaurants near the grande arche. The bathroom is really nice and comfortable. The safe is not very secure because it can easily be opened .... in fact we didn't use it at all. We had a problem controlling the air conditioner but we managed in some way or another. You have a 15-20 min to the metro station near the grande arche and so you can travel in paris very easy by taking metro no.1. We traveled a lot by metro and we found it very easy. If you are a family buy a packet of tickets so that you'll save money. Overall, the hotel is very, very good and the staff is helpful. I hope you found this review a bit helpful for you. Thank you.

Me and my friends had a good experience at this hotel. We booked for two nights for three people for 180 euros. The biggest advantage of this place is it is close to the metro. Do take notice that the metro station is in zone 3.

The accommodations were decent. We had a nice size kitchen and bathroom. The sleeping area was a little small. It is close to a market and to a pharmacy. The market is good for picking up bottled waters at inexpensive price, then there's the convenience of being able to freeze the waters for the next day. That's all that I can say to the positive.
We paid for the bed and breakfast rate, but the second day we decided to skip it because it wasn't worth the hassle. The restaurant is incredibly mismanaged. We waited in line for over 1/2 an hour for breakfast and people were starting to push and shove to get theirs. Once in the restaurant, plates, silverware and other utensils were gone. The wait staff seemed busy, but they kept taking half empty containers of items instead of bringing full ones to retrieve empty containers. The restaurant was cramped and uncomfortable, and the food quality was only so so.
The general hotel staff were rude and unhelpful as well. There are self serve laundry facilities on site. Upon having difficulties with one of the machines it took over 45 minutes to get a response from the front desk. The solution was for me to pay a 2nd time to actually get the machine to work. And at 5 Euros (now, 10) I thought that was a bit ridiculous. I was supposed to get a refund for the malfunctioning machine, however we did not receive it.
Maid service was lacking in quality as well. The minimum effort possible was used when servicing the room for the day. Overall we cannot recommend this hotel. It would be better to spend a little extra for a better experience and value.
