“Short but pleasant stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 October 2013

Right beside an RER station this hotel gives good access to the business district of La Defense, which is about 25 mins walking distance or 5 mins on the train. I stayed here for 2 nights in October on business and, whilst the rooms are typically small, they were clean and pleasant enough for what I needed. This is very much a business hotel and a bit too far from central Paris to be thought of as a place tourists would want, therefore the hotel is geared for that clientele. Free wifi is available in the rooms and the English TV available is BBC World News or CNN. A Bath with a shower room was provided with a small separate toilet room opposite and a small closet for clothes which would be too small for storing clothes for longer stays.
The area is fairly quiet in the evening with a few eating places close by, notably a couple of Italian and a Turkish restaurants practically opposite. I didn't eat in the hotel this time so cannot comment on this subject.
The hotel Prices are geared toward travellers on business so I think they are inflated for what you get but Paris isn't a cheap destination these days so its comparable with others in the area.
I walked to La Defense the first morning which was a pleasant 25 mins stroll which burned off some of the breakfast which is of a reasonable standard and selection. A nice touch is that they provide a 1 page summary of national news for different countries you get the top news from home each morning without buying an overpriced British newspaper.
Finally, don't forget this area is Zone 3 so you need to make sure you get the correct RER ticket if travelling from central Paris by train.

Room Tip: I suggest a higher room for quietness...I stayed on the third floor and it was okay.

Pleasant stay. Room was clean. Good breakfast that had lots of varieties. Neighborhood is relatively quiet. Location is not very near to Paris, but taking the train was sufficient. Staff were friendly and were able to support us on timely manner.

Stayed at this hotel as part of a Cosmos tour.
The hotel was a little far from all the main tourist attractions, however it was still quite nice and comfortable.
I would not have chosen to stay there as a tourist, but is perfect for a business traveler in the area.
The elevator is a little small, much was one downfall but the internet WiFi was fast a and reliable!!

We stayed a couple nights at this hotel in July. We arrived in the late afternoon but not all the rooms were ready for our tour. We had to wait about 45 minutes for our room. The hotel is fairly new, contemporary and clean. Staff was ok but not overly friendly and it was a bit hard to communicate with any staff other than the front desk people since most of them only speak French. Our room was very nice and clean. Air-conditioning was very comfortable. The toilet is in a little room across and separate from the shower and sink - ok arrangement, just a bit odd. Nice strong shower but you really have to watch the way you shower as the shower glass door only contains half the size of the shower so water would easily splash onto the floor. Another suggestion is to bring your own shower gel, shampoo and conditioner as the hotel seems rather thrifty with toiletries.

Complimentary continental breakfast included but both mornings food was not replaced quick enough to serve the 40-some people and the tables were not cleaned for the next guests. Also very limited choice of food.

There is a subway/metro station right around the corner of the hotel that takes you to attractions like Arc de Triomphe in about 20 mins or so. Thing to watch is when you return from the attractions, I am not sure if there is perhaps more than one exit but the exit we came out of was about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. We returned late in the evening and were not able to tell directions so ended up having to ask some locals for directions. Although the neighbourhood was very quiet, we felt fairly safe in it.

Overall, nice hotel but a bit understaffed (or not very quick service).

Plus: 20 meters from RER station.
Minuses:
Service: 1) we arrived at 3 pm and my room was not ready, had to wait 30 minutes. 2) refused to give us rooms on higher floors as they were fully booked. I am not sure it was true because only next day a lot of new guests arrived, so they could at least give me one night of better sleep out of two I booked 3) did not allow us to sit in a large hall of the restaurant for breakfast, proposed to sit at small tables in a narrow corridor near the bufet; next day they allowed just arrived guests (a large group of them) to sit in a large hall. Tables were not cleaned and served after the previous guests, we had to clean them by ourselves. 4) I asked for an iron, they said they would not bring it to my room and I needed to go to reception by myself to get it. Quite weird behaviour for the staff of a **** hotel.
Rooms: 1) noisy due to RER under the building; 2) very strange design on the room: small bathroom, toilet on the opposite side of the room. 3) No iron and an iron desk in the room. Recentionists suggested ME to take an iron desk to my room.
Internet: dropped off too often, had to relogin all the time, very annoying.

Room Tip: Choose higher floors, otherwise you will hear and feel RER trains from 5 am till 1 am

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights while having to conduct business in Poissy. The hotel is literally on top of the Nanterre-Perfecture underground train station. From there frequent trains depart towards Paris and Poissy. Dowside of this is that the hotel is shaking on its grounds each time a train passes underneath it. You notice it when standing at the reception and from reading the reviews here on tripadvisor, I asked for a room on a higher floor to not have this same experience in my room. I eventually got a room on the 7th floor which indeed didn't have much of the noise from the trains.

It was actually an upgraded room with free minibar, separate toilet and shower and a nice spacy room. Room was nicely clean and the internet connection was quite good. The television didn't offer many TV channels, but I guess all the basic stuff was there. The minibar was stocked with about 4 drinks which were free but would not get restocked, no matter how long you would stay there. Tea/coffee and a hot water kettle were also available.

The hotel didn't offer any facilities like a gym, sauna or swimming pool which was a pity. They only have two elevators of which one broke down, but surprisingly that still didn't lead to too long waiting times at the elevator.

Staff is friendly and helpful.

For businessman having to visit La Defense this is a good place to stay. For tourists wanting to visit the usual touristy stuff this is a less good place to stay as it is about a 20 minute train ride away from the city center, though its still doable. To Paris Du Nord it would take you about 45 minutes and you'll have to change trains once at Chatelet Les Halles. To the Les Quatre Temps shopping mall would probably take you about 10 to 15 minutes on foot (didn't try).

The reception staff recommended me to go eat at the Chinese place accross from the hotel and the Italian place right of the hotel. Both are okay, nothing very special, but decent and not too expense.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor. This might mean you will have to go for a more expensive room than...
