Description: The Bistrot with a well inspired tradition La Boutarde, along the decades and anectodes, vibrates in Neuilly at the pace of all, famous or anonymous, who loves it in couple. in family, in beetwen friends, with clients or partners. More than a personality, La Boutarde is a soul.In that spirit, Jean Jacques Rodier, new owner and his chef Gregory Delobeparticipant in Top chef 2011, promise some good, some simple, and some real, in a unceasing ballet of long aprons. If JJ Rodier is an old advertising and media guy, he is an epicurian lover,a traveler in the soul with a communicative conviviality. The brand new Boutarde resemble himIt is a well inspired tradition, homemade refinement. He brings it his touch from elsewhere, brilliantly translated by chef Gregory Delobe with multiple little attentions to details that make life more beautiful. Prime quality fishes and meats in daily specials, those meals awaken your difficult taste buds. For an apetizer with season colors, the poached egg, leeks bouquet, red wine sauce, sauteed snails with mushrooms, will be followed on the sea side by a creamy risotto, sea scallops sauteed with parsnip, or on the meat side a stuffed sucking-pig with foie gras and truffle juice. The specialties too, with happiness revisite some of our big classics :Farm raised chicken roasted, steak au poivre, homamade fries. The wine list offers a clever selection of noble or happy wines.Classical or moving, the desserts have a childish taste, kind of a cute sinDry fruits bread chips, honey ginger sherbet, homemade tart tatinor also a poached pear in a spicy red wineThe Boutarde, is also events to discover new flavors, share tricks from the chef, to meet in communities of interest, in a blues tempo, swinging to a jazz tune. “Great bistro outside la defense”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

My second time to this resturant, a lovely meal, a small menu, but it makes life easier. 35eur got you 3 courses. I had aubergine pâté to start, salmon tartare for main and ice cream. An excellent choice for summer. We was entertained between courses by a magician - sounds corny, but think of Dynamo- the tricks were amazing, had to be seen to be believed. Don't know if he is permanent fixture but made our evening!
A great find to escape la defense area without the trek into Paris on the RER

“Pleasant ambience and good food!”
Reviewed 9 March 2011

I have eaten here a couple of times in the last few weeks as it is close to La Defense so useful for entertaining visitors staying at hotels in the area.
The restaurant is tucked off a little side street off Avenue de Madrid in Neuilly and has a pleasant welcoming ambience.
Not a huge menu which I think is a plus in any case, but, all the choices I have had are of good quality whether a starter, main course or dessert. Good wine choice too and reasonably priced for Paris ....
Service can be a little slow at time, but, nothing unusual from a Paris perspective.
