“Friendly, helpful, fun, delicious!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and were made very welcome despite not having booked. We are both vegetarians, and there wasn't a veggie Raclette option, but the waitress suggested we have it with grilled potatoes and a salad. The potatoes were delicious and the salad very fresh, tasty and huge! The Raclette was also VERY generous on the cheese front, as was the Fondue my friend had - which had an amazing flavour too. There was also a mountain of bread which we couldn't get through. The food came quickly, and we took a long time to eat it as there was so much, but we were never bothered, nor was there any pressure to hurry. There was no way we could eat dessert and again we were not asked if we wanted anything else - nothing worse than a hard sell! I can't remember the prices, but they seemed reasonable otherwise we wouldn't have gone in... Highly recommended. Would have been a 5/5 if there were plates of vegetables available to dip in the cheese.

“Raclette and fondue”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 December 2013

Fun ski themed restaurant. I'm not sure how this place woudl feel in the summer, but in December, it was perfect. The food was OK and service OK. I had my own personal raclette served on the table with grilled potatoes and smoked meat. This was not part of the menu de jour, and so I paid quite a bit for the experience. Dining partners had the beef and salmon - nothing special, but also not bad. We went at lunch and it was pretty packed, so I suggest reservations. Also, no English menu available.

“Fixed my terrible experience at "Hereux comme Alexandre"...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

Do you remember what I said about that TERRIBLE ATTENTION at "Hereux Comme Alexandre"? OK... You can stay in France, but still outside Paris... This "Chalet" is charming and was a great recommendation from my Parisian friend.

Avoid Paris traps like "Hereux comme Alexandre" and several other Bistros that should be closed forever. Ask for your friends before spend a LOT of euros with stupid "waiters" that should never receive my "tips already included" in the bill.

Book this "Chalet" and have a nice diner with your friends.

“Absolutely Wonderful!!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2013

Our experience was absolutely fabulous! After having a rough start in Paris (Air France lost our luggage for 2 days), the staff at Le Chelet made us feel at home. Our hotel concierge recommended this place and he was spot on! The atmosphere was delightful and food unforgettable. This will be an experience we will never forget!
P. S.
The cheese fondue was out of the world!!!

“Adequate to good in parts”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2013 via mobile

Themed on Skiing chalet model, hence fondue and raclette specialities. Went for lunch, service adequate but not special. Had steak tartare which was tasty and well made. Others had fish. No one raved about their meal hence the adequate comments. Dessert was chocolate mousse and again good but not special.

Place was packed (Thursday lunchtime) so they must be doing something right - probably value/price plus unusual dishes.

If you like fondue or raclette then give it a go, otherwise you can find better French restaurants for lunch for the same price (€90 for 5)
