“Simple wonderfully cooked food, Great value...”
Reviewed 9 March 2012

Visited twice during our 5 day trip, a Wednesday early evening and a Saturday night. It's not much to look at, but the food is extremely good and the service is excellent, we were made to feel really welcome. They came out with a complimentary bowl of olives to start with. My wife and I had Pizza's, cooked in the wood fired oven, a Margerita and a Calzone, both beautifully cooked and huge, my 10 year old son had ham and home cooked chips, with drinks and coffees it came to £30. On the Saturday, olives came again, I had a huge Neptune pizza, my wife had minestrone soup (which was superb) and a chicken and pasta dish and my son had omelete & chips, cost with drinks £40.

“Faultless Pizzas from a Wood Oven”
Reviewed 6 October 2011

We visited with friends, as two of a party of seven. Pizzas ranged from €10 to €12, wine was €7 for half a litre- surprisingly palatable and good value, considering that a half a litre of beer in an average cafe in the Parisian suburbs is about the same price.

The pizzas had fresh dough, and toppings were generous. Pizzas should be freshly made, thin, and cooked in a wood oven ("au feu de bois"). La Fontaine De Trevi ticks all three boxes. Service was good and friendly, and a complimentary limoncello was provided after the meal. One diner had a carbonara, instead of a pizza. It looked good, and he enjoyed it.

La Fontaine De Trevi is next door to Le Dauphin hotel. It is open through the weekend, and at €42 for a couple of freshly cooked pizzas, a litre of red wine and some complimentary digestifs, it represented the best value meal we had. Highly recommended.
