“APOLLO'S RESTAURANT BUFFET IS THE BEST”
Reviewed 15 February 2014

We've been there twice for evening buffet that is excellent, Period!
This hotel is the most classy hotel in the airport zone.
Surrounding the airport there are a lot of companies that have costumers and clients checking in at this hotel. Also some crews of airlines are often there, as it is again very close to airport.
However the restaurant Apollo is very fine. The staff is efficient, friendly and accommodating,
The ambiance there, is formal, a bit strict at entrance, but calm, restaurant ant bar are cozy.
The restaurant is wide both times we were there it was never full. Reservation is preferable on certain key days like seafood lunch Friday etc... no three stars but really fine cuisine,
Worth coming back as couple, with family, friends or colleagues, but not on a romantic date as the restaurant room setting is not made for romance.

“For a hotel restaurant...not bad!”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

This was to be our final dinner on our Europe trip. The wife wanted something light...maybe just soup....me? I didn't care. So downstairs to the Apollo we went. The waitress seated us promptly and was very friendly throughout the meal. Long story short, the soup they offered the wife didn't particularly want so we decided on doing the buffet. We are not buffet people. Prior buffets offered overcooked items that had been held in steamer tables way too long. Dry, leathery, overcooked pieces of meat. Salad bars that look like the items had been put out the afternoon before. But not at the Apollo. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The salad station had a variety of items to satisfy everyone there. The cheese & bread station had at least 10 different types of cheese and 6 kinds of breads and rolls. Finally, the dessert station had a selection of 16 (I stood there and counted them) kinds of dessert....not counting all the little parfait glasses they had lined up. Amazing. If you wanted either the starter & main course or the main course & dessert was 25 euros. If you wanted all three, that was 29. Recommended.

“Worse the Second Time Around”
Reviewed 1 October 2013

We returned to the Hyatt Regency at the Charles de Gaulle airport exactly one week after our first stay. It was pouring rain so we decided not to go to the nearby restaurant suggested by the Concierge at the Hyatt Regency CDG. Inside, we opted for the Hyatt’s Apollo Restaurant. A BIG mistake.

Sunday night at the Apollo offers a buffet at 39€. We were not hungry enough for a buffet, so ordered off the menu. Both the wine and the water arrived «toute suite». That was the end of the service.

We shared a salad that took 15-minutes to arrive. Our main plates required nearly 45-minutes to be served. My pasta arrived only warm and my wife’s cod was supposed to be served with rice. There was no rice.

We asked the waiter to order the rice. He had to call the restaurant manager. The manager assured us that the rice would arrive in 3-minutes. The rice was served 20-minutes later; after we had finished dinner.

At least the restaurant manager had enough sense to forgive the price of the three glasses of wine that we drank.

Even if it is snowing, go anyplace but the Apollo.
