Don't be fooled. The ibis says that it is in the heart of Charles de Gaulle, but it is NOT in the terminal. You have a long walk to get to the train, then it is two stops on the train and another walk to reach the hotel.

We paid about $225 with tax. The room was tiny and the beds awful. Horrid little bare bones bathroom. One dispenser on the wall for soap and shampoo. No coffee maker. No Kleenex. Not even a comfortable chair to sit in.

In case you hadn't worked it out by now, I would not recommend it.

Room Tip: Not sure there are any "good" rooms

Good location at the airport. The tram between terminals, and also the trains to central paris, stop in the station right outside the front door of the hotel. Really good location for a 1-day layover or early morning flight.

Excluding location, not a great place.

The wait in the lobby is crazy. We waited for just 3 people, but we saw several times where there were like 50 people in line.

Lobby staff was rude at times. I interacted with them through e-mail once during booking and they were helpful, but in person, can be a different story. One guy actually looked down as I approached and started to thumb through files when I approached the desk. Totally obvious he wasn't looking for anything, just wanted to appear busy and make me wait 30 seconds before acknowledging me. At one point, I saw a guy just stapling papers, while 30 people were in line. (I get you need to do paperwork and such, but maybe not at the front counter when 30 people are in line).

Rooms are clean, but tiny. About 10x10 squares, and about 15% of that is segmented away for the bathroom. The entry door hits the bed when you walk in. The bathroom is so tiny that you have to turn sideways to move from the sink to the shower. Imagine an airplane lavatory... Basically that size....(for the sink and toilet), and then a tiny little shower next to them.

Surprisingly quiet. I didn't ever hear any aircraft noise.

They have luggage storage lockers in a small room off the hallway to the left of the checkin counter. It is about $10 (coin operated lockers) but good to drop your luggage. The machine requires exact currency in coins, so make sure you have it.

Room Tip: They have luggage storage lockers in a small room off the hallway to the left of the checkin counter...

I've stayed at this hotel three times and I always have the feeling that I've just stepped into the future. This hotel is designed for what it is: a quick and very inexpensive place to stay at the airport. The rooms are tiny and perfectly designed to accommodate a huge number of guests, all exhausted or in a hurry or both. The lobby can be a mad house -- we once arrived on Saturday night and soon the line to check in was literally out the door -- maybe 50 feet long. But as someone explained to me, that was because a flight had been cancelled and the airline had sent 300 people there. Usually the service at check in is efficient and friendly. There are three restaurants in the lobby offering a range of prices. There's a bar that stays open most of the night. The rooms are tiny but include a large, very comfortable bed, a miniscule bathroom with a great shower, free wi-fi -- in short, all you need for a good night's sleep and an easy wake-up. Walk out the door and you're at the train station for the TGV and the metro to Paris. Inside the station is a very quick, free "metro" to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at the airport (the hotel is located between those terminals). I know of no other hotel in Paris priced around US$100 that provides so much clean, modern comfort and convenience.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the higher floors if you can. That part of the building is newer and quieter.

We stayed here because this hotel is located at CDG. The hotel was adequate but very noisy. Despite what appeared to be double glazing, it was still possible to hear voices from workers and people coming to and from the station. The noise from adjoining rooms and tose above made a good nights sleep impossible. If you want a peaceful nights sleep at CDG, then look elsewhere. the restaurant was very good and the staff most pleasant. If I needed to stay there again, I would have to have a room on the top level.
