In line with most comments already in here,
- rooms small: classical Ibis, though - nothing not to be expected
- tired fittings: yes, while clean, the hotel needs a refit. Now, will we be happy when it is under works ?
- food: exactly the same standard menu as Ibis in Roissy, for instance.
Overall, appreciated the smiling and friendly service. Compliments to the staff, they're tired and working at all times, being neighbor to an airport - but they are particularly friendly there.
And yes: price at 65€ flat is 20€ cheaper than the other Ibis which is right inside Orly airport only a few km away, and not more friendly although newer / cleaner.
So, standard equipment, friendly people and good value for money.
And reliable: second time I dropped in like this with no booking, and nothing to complain about both times.

We stayed at the Ibis Paris Rungis from 4th Aug - 6th Aug on a weekend sightseeing visit to Paris. This Hotel is 3* and is very basic.
The room was small, but clean with 3 beds crammed in, obviously for optimum renenue. Wardrobe space was almost non-existent, so don't take many clothes because there is no point.
The Ibis is only suitable for short-stay business or short break visitors.
The dining room was more like a motorway cafe, with furniture to suit. The continental breakfast selection however, was quite good, with an adequate selection acceptable for most palates.
The only negative side to the breakfast was that if an item 'ran out', for example, milk. Informing the Staff was a complete waste of time because even though they were aware of the shortage, still continued with other things and keeping guests waiting for 10 minutes before replenishes items.
If you can accept that in this Hotel, all staff seem oblivious to guests being there and to giving tham a good customer service, then you stay will be endurable.

Room Tip: If you have mobility problems, ask for a 1st Floor Room as there appears to be only one lift which c...

Although the reception area is bright and colourful, the room on the ground floor was very small and tired. Fittings were hanging from walls and the wardrobe was tiny. There was no desk and a single bed was hanging from the wall, squeaked loudly every time it was touched and did not stay flat so was unsuitable for a child. The bath was badly stained although the bathroom overall was clean, as was the bed linen, and the foam mattress was comfortable. This is definitely a hotel to sleep in only, but this is reflected in the price of 65Euros per night (Aug 2012). Breakfast more than compensated, however, with a huge choice of cereals, breads, fruit and juices, with tea and coffee, all self service and as much as you can eat, providing a solution to expensive lunches in Paris.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on the ground floor and if you don't need it, one without an extra bed.

You get what you pay for. No complaints with room, breakfast with a bit of a bun fight with lots of customers and not so much food or staff. Only problem with hotel is getting to it via public transport. Train gets you so far then you have to chance trying to find a bus which is not very clear. My advice, look for something nearer the centre.

I was served undercooked salmon. When I pointed this out the waiter rather than apologies just said OK OK in an agitated manner. The same fish was then returned having been placed in a microcwave oven for a short while. I know this as the side salad on the same plate had also been microwaved and was now hot. I told another waiter that it was unnacceptable to simply return the same fish that had been undercooked and that I expected a new fish to be properly cooked and served. After some wait another salmon dish was given to me. This was even worse in terms of being undercooked. It was still freezing in the middle so much so that I opened it up and asked a waitress to place her finger on it and feel just how cold it was. She gasped and subsequently got a manager and a receptionist who had better English. I was given an apology and told that I would not be charged for the evening meal. I was offered to chose another meal from the menu. I chose the cod and it was very good. As your records will show I am a frequently user of Ibis Hotels as is my company, I was extremely disappointed with the meal service and it fell well below acceptable standards. To have been re served the same fish that had been previously undercooked was unbelievable and other customers in the resteraunt were shaking their heads in equal disgust.
