Stumbled across this fabulous little place on the way to the cathedral. Fantastic choice of freshly cooked, home made dishes. The loveliest of service (although a little bit understaffed) - even still, the waitress couldn't do enough for us. If we were staying in Beziers we would go back. Visit was made even more special with the one of the locals helping us translate when we needed it. Altogether amazing.

The restaurant was easy to find and really close to the Cathedral. It's just at the start of the narrow road leading to the Cathedral where there are lots of other little restaurants. The waitress was very helpful and explained the choices from the 2 set priced menus. Although the food took a while to arrive, it was all freshly prepared and cooked. We even had to order our pudding in advance so that they could cook it! The wait let us listen to the live musician who was playing in the square around the corner. Total bill for two 3-course meals, including drinks came up as 50€. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

During our recent holiday in the area this was the only restaurant we visited twice - it impressed us so much. The service was really friendly, and all the dishes were inventive and always freshly cooked. And at less than 20 euros for starter, main and dessert this represented fabulous value. Also a lovely shady setting near Beziers cathedal made for a perfect holiday experience.

We recently spent 2 weeks based in Beziers and visiting sights & winery's in the surrounds. We had dinner here early in the holiday and returned for a meal on our last night before returning home. The food was every bit as good as the Michelin starred Barbacane in Carcassone. Friendly staff and great tasting food well presented. The red wines on offer were also excellently chosen. If we return to this part of the world we would definitely go back for dinner. 3 courses including wine and coffees for €60!!!

This place is not the cheapest you can find in Beziers, but it is still cheaper than basically any place in Paris, for example. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. We also had a house wine (vin de pays) they had on tap (carafe) that was soooo goood - definitely from the region. And now, as for the food - it was super interesting. We had a menu for 16.80 euro and I've had oysters and shrimps as appetizer (!) then polenta+rolled chicken breast as main. Both very tasty. My husband was happy with his food too. We both agreed that was the best we ate in those 4 days in the region of Languedoc we visited. And, there was dessert too - not chocolate for that (cheaper) menu, but still a nice finish to our two courses already. Go visit Cep d'Or in Beziers, you won't regret it!
