La Gargotte which is inside the Halles in Beziers , (not Cazouls-les-Beziers)
The building is beautiful , a copy of a Victor Baltard design the official architect of Napoleon 111.He designed the Halles in Paris
The Halles is the central market for Beziers , it has many stands with great fresh local produce .
The Gargotte is really a bar with a few tables . It's a great place to have a breakfast ( a Double coffee, plus a good croissant, will cost about 3 Euros ).
Lunch time the owner cooks about two dishes a day , but if you like you can buy products from the market (fish or meat )he will cook for you for 3 euros . The stand next to him sells oysters , 9 euros a dozen , take them to La Gargotte and just order the wine.
It's more of a local bistrot than a place for tourists.
