Yes, outside the main town in Villeneuve lez Avignon, is this small boutique hotel. Extremely comfortable and well located for access to the bus service in Avignon city and worth exploring the smaller town in its own right. The hotel is very well set up, beautiful outside area and pool which is great for those al fresco breakfasts. Stephen was a helpful and informative host but you may need patience as his English and my French were about equal, that is fairly basic. But everything worked well and we have no hesitation in recommending this as a great place to stay away from the tourist madness of the city itself.

Room Tip: Suite terrasse - great sitting room and private terrace

Having read lots of reviews before we booked we were hoping this hotel would live up to them - but to say it surpassed our expectations would be an understatement.

The hotel manages to retain the charms of a traditional french cottage with a modern and homely feel. The rooms are furnished stylishly with spacious and well designed bathrooms.

The hotel is situated in a great location - in the centre of the quaint town of Villeneuve and near to a number of nice restaurants. It's just a ten minute bus ride to Avignon, the coast is an hour's drive away and there are lots of local attractions within a 30 minute drive.

However, the thing that makes this hotel really special is the owners. From the minute we arrived Sophie and Steve did their utmost to make out holiday a relaxing one - they gave us lots of information about local attractions (telling us where to visit when and how to get there), advised us on which restaurants to try and even made bookings for us. They were so accommodating it really felt like we were guests in their own home.

If you're looking for a hotel in this area then look no further - this really is the perfect find!

Room Tip: They are all fantastic

We stayed two nights in the hotel in August. Each room has a different decoration. The service was good and the owner could advise us some places to go out for diner. We found however that the prices were a bit high (especially breakfast) for a boutique hotel. I would suggest to put a queen size bed in the rooms for more comfort.

Loved this hotel. Location was a lovely surprise and in a beautiful village just outside Avignon. Easy access by car (and bus/taxi) Restaurants/bars in the village so no need to venture too far but an easy taxi/bus to Avignon if required.
The hotel is one of the best we have stayed in, a large room (C) with large bathroom, it just could not be faulted. There are ample sitting areas in the hotel (we found this lacking in every other hotel) and the attention to detail/design was exceptional. A lovely quirky spacious hotel and the owners could teach a lot of other hotels a thing or two about how to run a place!

Villeneuve is surprisingly quaint town in Avignon. 10 min drive outside of the Avignon walls. We had a car, and drove to the free parking structure just outside of Avignon that offers a free shuttle that runs until 8pm. But, we also walked from Avignon city walls to the parking structure and it's only 10 min walk with lots of people also walking.

Hotel is difficult to find, as the navigation doesn't take you directly to there. There's a no-entry zone which the navigation takes you to there. You'll have to drive around the zone to the front of the hotel for quick 10 min parking to check-in.

Steven was great. He immediately knew who we were and had our paperwork out before we even said anything. He gave us a tour and choice of a room on bottom floor (A) or 2nd floor (F). Though F faced the garden, the pop design was not to our tasting. We really liked design of A - which was more like a wine cave. The room is on bottom floor, but we weren't annoyed by the street noise. You only really hear it in the morning, and not late at night. We did notice a few tourists peering into our window to check out the hotel, not noticing it was our room. We had to close the window shades each day, which made for a darker room with no natural light.

Room featured comfortable bed, modern, fun designs, and great bathroom. All new bathroom fixtures. Hotel is in great shape - lots of clean, fun designs. Pop culturely.

We didn't do breakfast, as there was boulangeries and cafes in walking distance. Do go to the Thursday farmer's market. We went to many farmer's market during our stay in towns of Provence and this had the best and least expensive prices. Shop here on Thursday morning around 9am.

Hotel is safe and in great location. They give you codes to open all the doors. Free parking at back of hotel with plenty of parking space and also safe with codes and huge gate.

Walking streets to many restaurants in Villeneuve, which is a surprisingly sweet area - more locals, slower, clean, and with lots of history. Steven recommended the Cave Saint Marc for dinner and he was spot-on. Great provencal food, good prices, and family-run. Very authentic with limited # of tourists. Not a fancy place, but food spectacular. Wine was not very good, so I don't recommend asking server to help select wine. We sat next to locals who who shared stories about the town and places to visit.

Highly recommend to stay in Hotel La Suite.

Room Tip: Higher floors don't get small walking trafic

This is the perfect place to stay. Villaneuve is just across the river from Avignon and is a wonderful historic town with easy access to all of Provence. The room I had was spacious and very comfortable. Steve and Sophie, the owners, are so kind and helpful. They a major part of making my stay in Provence so wonderful. The hotel is lovely and relaxing. I will never stay anyplace else when I return. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: All rooms are unique and are spacious.

My wife and I stayed at La Suite for ten nights. Our room (suite F) was first rate - spacious and very well decorated - and the terrace was ideal as a place to relax in the sun after a day out exploring Provence. Villeneuve is a fascinating and interesting place in itself and a great place from which to explore Provence. You avoid the bustle of Avignon but it's only a short bus journey away if needed. Sophie and Steve were tremendous hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Steve's recommendations for the best markets and restaurants were spot on not just in Villeneuve but Avignon and further afield as well. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and would highly recommend Hotel La Suite to anyone visiting the area.
