A lovely little hotel/b&b.
I stayed here for 3 nights with 2 friends in mid October. The hotel is lovely & clean and the owner friendly & very helpful - including loaning us a hairdryer as our adaptor broke.
The shower was a good size walk-in cubicle with plenty of hot water & towels.
The room was plenty big enough for 3 of us.
The only thing I would change really was breakfast, just a little bit of variety would be nice,I know it's continental but 3 days of bread & croissants is enough. T
There is no tea & coffee facilities in the room either, but that's not really an issue, there is a lovely little bakery round the corner where you can get takeaway drinks etc.
The pool area was lovely, a bit too cool to use the pool, but we enjoyed sitting by it and enjoying a drink in the sunshine.
You can catch the number 5 bus from the tourist office it is 1.30 euro each way and takes about 10 minutes, a cab is about 15 euro!

We really enjoyed our two nights we stayed at this charming small hotel. We had a room which had a view of the garden and Saint Andre Fort. The room was charming, very clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. We had a lovely breakfast each morning and were able to sit on the terrace for breakfast. There is an added bonus, in that it has a swimming pool and sun loungers to sit on. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, we would certainly like revisit and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. Another bonus was that we were able to catch a bus into Avignon very easily from the tourist office.

On our whirlwind trip to France, we had originally thought to stay in Avignon, but came across Les Jadins de la Livree just across the bridge. The hotel / inn / B&B - is just lovely. This is a small inn with just a few rooms overlooking a lovingly maintained and colorful garden and refreshing swimming pool. The rooms are simply decorated and exceptionally clean and tidy. We had a room for 3 and had plenty of space. The location is perfect - as we wanted to explore the countryside - it was easy to get in/out of Villeneuve-les-Avignon and just a short bus trip over to Avignon (or about a 30 minute easy walk). We actually spent more time here than in Avignon as there is much to explore, great cafes and not as crowded (we were there end of August). This is exactly what we expected from a Provence inn - from Jean Paul who is just charming and friendly and helpful, to the luscious croissants and fresh-picked fruit each morning on the patio. The inn also serves excellent dinners, and seems to be a spot where locals come to enjoy a good meal - definitely have at least one dinner here during your stay. If (when) we have the benefit to return to Provence, we will stay here again, without question.

I am staying here 4 nights and what a dream I am having. Just like you would see from a movie. Great location away from the bussle but lots of cafes nearby.
A warm friendly welcome awaits in a relaxed atmosphere.

We arrived at the Hotel in the early evening after a lovely journey down from Paris by T.G.V. The Hotel is family run, Jean Paul is the host while his brother Is the cook. Their parents also help out along with other members of the family. All the rooms are named after herbs, ours was the Lavender room. The room was very clean and very pretty with French doors and a Juliette balcony from where you got a lovely view of the little garden and Jean Paul's Roses. The breakfast was freshly prepared and very good. The Hotel was located in a quiet position and enclosed by a lovely old stone wall, the family pets were one West Highland Terrier named Easy, two cats and a couple of chickens which kept us entertained. This Hotel was the most friendly relaxing and peaceful place we have stayed at and although our plan had been to visit the sights at Avignon we ended up preferring Villeneuve and visited the sights there. We plan to return next year.

We couldn't fault our one night stay in the Basilic room of this small hotel. The room was simply decorated, spotlessly clean, quiet and had a lovely view of the garden. Jean Paul was a pleasure to deal with both by email and in person. He provided very clear directions to the hotel when asked and we had no difficulty finding it. We parked at the rear of the hotel and this offered us the first glimpse of the lovely gardens and swimming pool. We reserved a table for dinner in the hotel restaurant for that night and armed with a map from Jean Paul we made our way to the bus for the very short trip into the city of Avignon.

Our meal in the restaurant that evening was worth returning for and we can see why the restaurant is so highly recommended by others. The restaurant itself is traditionally decorated and very charming and we had a lovely breakfast there the following morning.

Villeneuve-les-Avignon is such a perfect base for visiting Avignon, it is a pretty village and we enjoyed walking around it before we checked out. It was lovely to return to the hotel after the hustle and bustle of people and traffic in Avignon and we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the Lavender room from October 12-14. It was a very good value for the price. Due to construction, it was very difficult to find the hotel. Once we found it, we were able to park off the street for free. it is conveniently located in the village, and is a couple of blocks away from good restaurants. It is a pretty long walk to the Palais of the Popes, though. We used it to travel to other sites in the area, and would recommend it for its central location. The room had an excellent view of the garden, which is beautifully landscaped. We drank a bottle of wine on the deck, under the vines, and loved it. The room was spartan in its appointment. It could have used a second chair at the small table in it. It had a flat screen tv, but no access to English-speaking channels. The wireless internet worked well. The breakfast was very good, and Jean Paul was very accommodating. The restaurant is closed on Sunday. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: There are only 5 rooms.
