We stayed at Perigord and Quercy for two weeks in early December. We were warmly welcomed and there was a quick tour round with how to work things - very useful! Mdme Turner gave us some brief ideas of where to visit. The properties were suitably equipped and we were able to cater for all 15 of us at either house in comfort.
Linen quality was good, towels plentiful, plenty of hot water with good showers. The weather was kind and we only used a fire once, but it rapidly warmed the room, there is individual heating in the bedrooms which suited the differing requirements of our party.
Plenty of car parking, large well kept grounds with plenty of room for the children to run around. The gates are lockable which was reassuring with the children.
We didn't use the washing machine, but the dishwasher worked fine.
The pool is fabulous, nice and warm, and I imagine in the summer is a godsend. Plenty of outdoor seating available, table tennis kept the younger element occupied as well. Free WiFi was only available in one property which meant we all assembled there, but to be honest we moved between both houses a lot anyway.
The views are to die for, it being winter the sun was low and so the electronic shutters were useful as the sun was setting.
We will be returning, it was ideal for our party, with the ability to split off into two houses so that people were able to have some down time or a sneaky nap!
Gourdon is about 5 minutes away and you can get everything you need here. We ordered the welcome pack and that tided us over until we could shop ourselves.
