I was there few years ago, more than 10, while Michel was still puling the strings, it was memorable, still my best experience. Thanks you very much, Now I look forward to visit you back, or should I keep the magic unchanged ?

“Lasting experience”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

In 2013 we had a moderate experience in a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Florence, Italy. So we were extra delighted that Sebastien & Michel Bras made it all up again!

Dining at Bras is a wonderful and lasting experience. The setting on the calm and beautiful plateau de l'Aubrac is a great start. And from the moment you enter, all is exquisite harmony and peace. We were shown the kitchen area which defies all televised images of busy people frantically running around with red faces and shouting at one another. We were explained that harmony in the dishes can only occur when there is a good atmosphere while preparing them. How true!

The menu itself is unbelievable. Even though this was our fourth 3-star experience we went from one amazingly beautiful tasting experience to the next. From amuse till cheese-plateau, each dish made us smile and feel happy.

Truly a lasting experience!

“Father and son, artists in every sense of the term”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

My husband took me to Michel Bras, stayed in a superb room, and had an unforgettable dinner!
The dishes were a true pleasure for the eyes and even more for the taste. The service was irreproachable. The whole place was built with respect for the landscape and thus built around the grounds. The views are breathtaking. A very memorable experience ;-)

“Unique gastronomic expérience”
Reviewed 30 September 2013

You arrive chez Bras up a long drive, having nearly missed the almost invisible entrance sign. You park and walk about 5 minutes on an uncovered path which could have you arriving drenched and dishevelled if the Aubrac weather turns nasty. Then the wonder begins.
You are led into the Salon and find seats with the most stunning views of the wild countryside. You are offered aperitifs (16€), some delicious amuses vouches, the menus and the biblical wine list.
We chose to eat the Vegetable Menu (150€ each) because we could hardly imagine that this could be successfully presented. The restaurant offered another fine view of the landscape and fortunately, we got our bet right. Course after fantastic course arrived and was explained by our charming waiter. The sommelier discussed our wine tastes and helped us select a relatively inexpensive (55€) Rhone wine which we thoroughly enjoyed.
We were finally defeated by the Aligote (cheesy, creamy crushed potatoes) and declined the last two of the dessert courses.
It was a fantastic evening, but if we come back, we will eat a la carte.
