We stayed overnight in Hotel des Voyageurs while briefly visiting Millau. We were happy with our stay. The room was quite cheap and the room was fully adequate for our needs. In the evening, when we went out to have dinner in the city centre we discovered that there was just a ten minute walk to the restaurant areas.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was nice. As a nice gesture, the staff let our children (we were two families travelling with a total of four children) have breakfast without any charge.

There is a parking space for cars in the back of the hotel which guests can use for free.

All in all, this hotel is modest and not very charming, but considering the price level and the friendliness and service of the staff I can recommend it!

On arrival I was told how lucky I was to have found a family room for 5 in millau! The room was old and dated although I was prepared for this after reading the other reviews. It was only for one night. I wasn't prepared for the smell in the bedroom which hadn't been aired for a long time. No sign of sheets being recently washed either although they were clean. When I asked owner if he could provide a bath plug he became hostile and started ranting that the previous occupants must have stolen it, that he couldn't constantly replace everything that had been stolen etc etc and that if I wanted everything to be spot on I should have gone to hotel mercure or ibis! He offered to put us in another room (after claiming that they were all full) but that smelt as bad and didn't even have a proper shower so we stayed put. Had to sleep with the windows open to keep the smell at bay (don't dare to think what had happened in the walkin cupboard) but that meant that we had the sound of the relentless traffic all night. Couldn't wait to leave. Been scratching all night.

Room Tip: At the back, although there are no family room there. Best room in different hotel.

Unfortunately the Ibis was full so we roughed it here for 1 night, unfortunately the weather was a little on the hot side and the rooms are not air conditioned, so a sticky night ensued.
The hotel is very dated and the rooms and beds really need an update. It does have free WIFI though.
We had the continental breakfast, this was acceptable and located in a remote building to the rear of the hotel.
The car park is secured at night by means of an electronic gate.
Would I stay here again if In the area, No.

Room Tip: Go to Ibis

Cheap and cheerful, Just the one night stay here.Good location, just a 5 min walk to town centre, where there are lots of restaurants and bars.
Lovely town just to wander through.
Basic breakfast, just the job though.
Room OK, not outstanding, but then again we weren't expecting much with the price!
Definitely stay again, especially as a mid journey stop over.
