Another typical IBIS, clean and comfortable with no frills. Quick and easy check in, quiet room with everything needed for a short stay. Very small bath (even smaller than the usual continental style) but that wasn't really a problem for me as I use the shower ……….
Staff very friendly, breakfast typical cold ham, cheese, cereals etc – all perfectly adequate. Overall good value and there don't seem many other hotels as centrally placed – the comparable HIE is close to the station but a good 10 minutes walk from the main squares.
No on site parking but you can get a ticket from reception to avoid the queuing and ticket machines in the main square underground car park.
Tip if you're on motorcycles – we usually put two bikes in one bay at IBIS hotels and have never had a problem only paying for one space. We assumed this would be the same and got in on one ticket by going through the barrier together. However, the attendant wouldn't open the barrier on the way out so "fined" us a whole days charge (lost ticket equivalent).....which cost less than the charge for the weekend that we'd been there! These are the rules, so if you're there for more than a day, go in together and pay the "fine" on the way out........More
