“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2011

We spent 2 nights in the Corne d'Or while visiting the Somme battlefield area and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is 18th century and full of charm, well located with a short walk to many restaurants and bars. We had a suite with very comfortable beds, a large bathroom and big bathtub with shower. The breakfast was first class and our hosts charming and welcoming. There is parking right opposite in the square and this is free between 6.00 p.m. and 9.00 a.m. There is a fridge on the landing providing free water and juice (much needed after a day's sightseeing!), as well as champagne (for which, understandably, they charge!) The only criticism would be the shortage of clothes hangers but I am sure this would be easily rectified. Highly recommended.

If you are looking for perfection in how to run a B&B,you should visit this establishment.
Honestly, in all aspects, this place is without equal.Even the most demanding guest will have their desires satisfied here, but be aware, it is not well signposted on the outside. If you get to the Mairie`s Office you will be only seconds away.
.(tip) You need to look in at the lower level windows for the sign, which is just above eye-level.

This is a little treasure of a bed and breakfast that goes beyond the call of duty.Franck is a fantastic host and a very good chef as well.
From the minute you walk in the door he makes you feel welcome and is a gold mine of local information.
Parking is opposite in a small car park and it felt very safe to leave the car overnight.
The room was very well equipped and comfortable and a nice touch was supplying cd's to listen to.The en-suite was clean and included a very large rain shower.
Breakfast was a feast, with cereals, cooked breakfast ,fresh fruit ,hot croissants and a wonderful selection of teas and coffee.Franck even cut some fresh mint for my mint tea as he didn't have any pre-prepared loose leaf tea.It is extra for breakfast ,but don't miss out on this marvellous experience.
Great location for a stop over ,only an hour from Calais.
We loved it and will return.

Centrally located, easy to find and with local parking, La Corne d'Or is the perfect spot for a break in Arras. The house and its history are fascinating, while the owners are friendly and charming and go beyond the call of duty to make their guests feel welcome and well looked-after. Breakfast is all freshly-prepared and delicious, shared around the table with other guests. We stayed in the Suite Nature with bedroom, sitting room, kitchenette and bathroom. It would be hard to find somewhere better for value, quality, comfort and ambience. Highly recommended; we will definitely return.

We booked this B&B from the reviews on Tripadvisor and were not disappointed. The hosts Franck and Isabelle were just outstanding. From the time we checked in to when we checked out they couldn't do enough for us. Franck's knowledge of were to go and directions for the WW1 battlefields was excellent.
Both of these people go out of there way to make you feel like you are back home. The breakfast in the morning was outstanding and Francks homemade jams are great, even his scrambled eggs and smoked pork slices are a great start to the day.
We will one day come back and stay here with these great hosts.

Room Tip: There is parking directly across the hotel and it is free after 6.00pm until 9.00am.

We stayed at La Corne d'Or for 4 nights, whilst exploring the region and visiting WWI graves and monuments. Our host Franck was charming and helpful, our room (Le Loft) beautifully decorated and comfortable, very good breakfast with a variety of delicious breads and jams to follow eggs cooked "au choix". The house is lovely, full of charming features and the fridge on one landing with complimentary water is welcome. Arras is a pleasant town and, in April, not at all busy. The Wellington tunnels are an essential visit, to realise just how dreadful WWI was. Would highly recommend La Corne d'Or if you are thinking of visting Arras and the region. Parking at the weekend free in front of the house, during the week a few streets away (also free).

What a warm welcome by Franck and Isabelle, a charming couple. Nothing was too much trouble. Their charming b&b is delightfully decorated, breakfast is excellent including smoked pork fillet, free bottles of juice and water, champagne in the fridge for purchase (very convenient), location central, and suitable base for Western Front tours. We were there for Anzac Day as were other Australians. Franck's knowlege and English are excellent. Thank you we enjoyed our stay in the Nature suite.
