“Great start to our holiday”
Reviewed 27 June 2012

This is a lovely hotel located right in the heart of the town of Arras, a very beautiful town, especially at night when all buildings in the two squares seem to be lit up. We were greeted warmly by Franck the owner upon arrival and were provided with information regarding the parking and how we could get it for free during our two night stay. He also recommended various restaurants (so many to choose from within a 5 - 10 minute walk so much appreciated) he thought we might like and told us about the market on Saturday (one of the best and biggest french markets I have been to). He showed us to our room (the Baroque) which was up two flights of stairs. On the way up he pointed out a fridge that we could use for any wines etc we might want to have which was a lovely gesture. The bedroom was lovely and a good size we thought. Not much of a view out the window, just the local car park and the town hall which is not an impressive building by any stretch of the imagination. The bathroom had a great shower in it, nice and big (no bath but we knew this when booking). Clean and with modern fixtures.. In fact everywhere seemed spotless. We had breakfast at the hotel both mornings which was 10 euros extra per person each day. It was delicious and abundant (numerous varieties of coffee and tea on offer, an assortment of fresh pastries and breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit juice and yogurt, the scrambled eggs were amazing) and well worth the money given the fact that it's served in a beautiful room and we got to mingle with other guests. We also got to choose the time we would like to eat which was much appreciated. One point I will mention is that there are no locks on the doors (not ours anyway) but we did feel very safe that said. We loved our stay at this hotel. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful and sharing your wonderful home with us.

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting the ww1 battlefields.
Everything about this hotel is just perfect, the hotel it's self is beautiful, the rooms very stylish, car parking across the road convenient, arras perfectly situated for our visit, the breakfasts to die for but the icing on the cake has to be frank ....the perfect host. Absolutely no qualms about recommending this hotel - brilliant!

Blink and you can miss the building but what a pleasant surprise when we arrived. This property dates back to the 18th century but don't be put off as it is superbly preserved and presented by Franck and his family. Close your eyes and imagine the history portrayed in the property-wonderful. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable and the linen and towels are spotless. The different continental and cooked breakfast prepared by Franck was well presented and enjoyable.

A 5 minute walk into the town centre is easy where ample restaurants and bars are plentiful. Only one night was spent here but plans are being made for another visit.

What a surprise to find this facility in Arras. A beautiful old building in the centre of town yet a quiet location. Frank is a wonderful host and the fact that his english is so good made travel in the region so much easier for us.

The rooms are spacious, well appointed and comfortable. The breakfasts are generous and delicious.

Room Tip: Consider the larger suite rooms if you prefer an 'apartment style' of living

Stayed one night on way to Alsace - wanted to return on way back but unfortunately, it was completely booked up. Franck is incredibly friendly and welcoming, happy to sit and chat with you and makes you feel completely relaxed and comfortable. We stayed in the loft (up 3 flights of stairs so not suitable if your legs are a bit dodgy) which was quaint, warm and comfy with sofa, tv and a very large shower and mood lighting! (Loved the movement sensor which gave you background floor lighting so you didnt trip up getting up in the night!)
Fantastic selection of tea and coffee (more tea than an English tea shop!), free soft drinks in fridge and an honesty box for beer and champagne. Lovely lounge to meet other guests. Fabulous breakfast, everything well presented with Franck to cater for your every need (right down to sharing the secrets of his French Toast recipe)Just a couple of minutes walk from cathedral, shops, restaurants - parking right outside in main square (payable on meter in day).Lots of interesting photography to contemplate in house. A real home from home and exceptional in the welcome you receive.

This is a beautiful restored 17th century building with beautiful rooms and a wonderful propietor. We were plesantly surprised at the roos in this building. Each one has a name and is decorated acorrdingly. The breakfast is well worth the 9 euro we paid is made personally by the owner. He was very personable, speaks very good English and even sat down at breakfast to chat with us.
I would definetly recommend this hotel to others. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Room Tip: All the rooms are nice. We stayed in the Regina room but also booked my parents in the Angel Room...
