Dominated by the rebuilt Belfry this large, attractive square is decorated by large drapes featuring the headline acts from the music festivals.

Plenty of places to eat and drink, both inside and outside.

Nice little square to walk around in and take pictures. The architecture is lovely, and slightly unexpected for a city like Arras.

A very impressive cobbled square surrounded by wonderful Dutch-gabled terraces on three sides with stone pillars. Bars and restaurants abound. On the fourth side sits the Beffroy d'Arras a clock tower in the Flemish gothic style. Although in actual fact not particularly old (the original destroyed in WW2) it is a stunning building and well worth a detour.

We had an awesome evening in Heroes Square when visiting Arras. There were a huge range of restaurants and outside dining and the ambience of the square was fantastic on the warm evening we visited.
What was more surprising the next day was finding out that underneath where we were eating are a network of tunnels (Wellington Tunnels) that were used in WW1, hence the name Place de Heros.

A huge European square with cafes all around the perimeter and a grand ( rebuilt) church at 1 end. Free entertainments too. A marching band and a children’s/youth orchestra whilst we were there
