I always like the family run restaurants in France, which are small and cozy. This is one of them! You can have a nice meal, for a small price, cooked and served by the owners.

After looking at all restaurants in the same street, this one looked basic but had good TA reviews. We were first in at 8pm on a Friday evening, nice straight forward basic interior with nautical theme. Two ladies running it very welcoming, we both had lemonsole for main and was great with lots of frites. Very reasonable prices, locals soon started filling up later on. Would recommend this one

We had a very nice dinner here one evening as recommended by the B & B owners where we stayed (La Bononia - excellent!) The sole was delicious, an enormous portion of home cooked chips and the cheeseboard was the largest platter I have ever seen - enough for two! Two very nice ladies working there - very friendly and the bill was extremely reasonable. Would definitely return.

We arrived earlier than the time for which we had booked, and were welcomed and sent to our table, which had already been prepared. There were fourteen of us, but this did not phase the restaurateurs. Our order was taken quickly, and the steaks were cooked as requested. French fries were fresh and tasty. The service was very good indeed, the coordination of delivery of food and drinks was efficient, and we felt we got value for money. Those of us who were not driving enjoyed good red wine, served by the 'pichet'. People who had the set menu were very pleased with their three courses. We shall visit again.

This is the second time in a year that our group of twelve friends from our Kentish Citroen 2cv club chose this friendly family run restaurant to enjoy a Sunday lunch in the fortified part of the town of Boulogne Sur Mer. We were not let down! Service was attentive, food was very tasty and well cooked and we enjoyed ourselves very much indeed! A very good table was set out for our group and I can highly recommend the twenty two Euro set meal!!! The English menu was especially welcome as most of our group do not speak French. On hand to help and translate was the son of the family who spoke good English. A very good and well recommended small restaurant!
