“warm welcome in Boulogne”

A real gem - warm welcome, friendly owners and spotlessly clean
Extra nice touch was a flower on the bed and a happy birthday note = thank you!
Well worth using for a stayover in Boulogne
Would recommend and stay again

Stayed for a weekend break with friends. Hotel is situated in a modern block of shops on a busy street in the town centre, close to the harbour. A good location for exploring the town on foot. The rooms are small, basic and need refurbishment but are clean and adequate for a weekend stay. Breakfast is typical continental style, croissants, cheese, cold meat, jam etc served in the small area to the left of the entrance door, by the reception desk. The food was adequate. We had to pay 7 Euros each extra for the breakfast. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Television in room with one English language news channel, BBC World News. Our standard room was very short on hanging space for clothes but okay for a couple of days worth. Staff were very friendly and the male proprietor/manager allowed us to drop our luggage off early and carried our bags up to the room whilst we were out exploring. We had booked one of the limited number of car park spaces in the underground car park of a block in a nearby street, approximately 300yds away (10 Euros per day). If you use the car park be aware of scraping the front underskirt of the car at the bottom of the access ramp.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front overlook a busy street that woukld be noisy on summer nights with the window open...

We stayed for a night on our way back to the Eurotunnel. We had a clean ,comfortable family room. the staff were very friendly and breakfast was fine (if a little pricey - as most hotels are nowadays - their is a nice boulangerie next door if you fancy croissants and want to save money). Good central location for restaurants. Overall, a very comfortable stay in a nice city hotel.

Stayed as party of two couples and really enjoyed the stay. Hotel is very clean, and staff very friendly and helpful. Just minor qibbles: good to have tea/coffee facilities: but no milk provided. I suspect we needed to ask, but reception is not manned at all times. Parking is available in local underground garage: not many spaces and very tight access, so our Mondeo just squeezed down into the entrance. Bathrooms seemed very new, but one shower leaked dramatically through the door, and our shower tray did not drain properly. Beds were very comfortable if firm mattress is ok. Paid for the breakfast, 7 euros, and it was fine: one croissant and then plenty bread, cake, cheese, cereal, fruit etc. Lovely coffee.
Would return if in the area. Position is very good: accessible to local restaurants, shops and short walk to harbour area. Market on Saturday is nearby: very traditional and good fun.
Medieval walled part is short walk but steep hill: approx 15-20 minutes depending on fitness and distractions!

Have been noting the reviews and find that I have not written one. Have stayed here for a few days and then a single night. On each occasion the staff are excellent and breakfast is very good. Many restaurants in the area to eat in the evening, one only a few yards from the hotel. Previously we always stayed at the Ibis, but now always stay here as we will be doing this year again. There is secure parking but this needs to be booked.

For some reason, Boulogne does not have many good hotels, so think of this one as "standard".
It is well located for the north beach, shopping/eating and the "sites", plus it is clean and tidy, if a bit tired. The triple room had a separate toilet and bathroom, a very comfortable main double bed and another double bed! They then shoehorned in a full sized travel cot! There is also a desk and chair. The wardrobe is small, but does have proper hangers and the bed side shelves are only about 30cm x 30cm. These could be bigger, not sure why they are so small.
The staff are bilingual and helpful and friendly.
The breakfast, basic but OK, (tea, coffee, croissant, bread/toast, cake, cheese, yogurts, cereals, etc E7 per adult, E4.50 for children, free for under twos.
There are free car parks in Boulogne, but the hotel does have spaces in a local underground car park, nice and secure.

Room Tip: secure parking is E7 per night, not 10!!
