Got stuck in maubegue for a few hours (during lunch time -France). Almost panic, then I found the Campanile. Have no idea about the hotel accommodation, but if the rest of the place is in line with the most friendly and helpfull staff, than, it must be good. Had a decent lunch, got my phone charged, got my free Internet connection, and all with a smile. If you are in the area, worth a detour.

This is a budget hotel make no mistake about it.
Rooms are quite small, bathroom a decent size..
Looks more like a motel than a hotel
But for all that, its very cheap...¬!
At £40 for a room on a saturday night I didn't expect the Hilton...
The room was clean...had tea/ coffee making facilities...tv..etc...
The ajoining restuarant was handy as we arrived later in the afternoon and couldn't be bothered to go out looking for food...
Food wasn't exactly fine dining but was adequate.
We stayed here because we were going to Maroilles the next day to a Brocante and this seemed to be the nearest drop off point....for an early start
Staff are friendly...room s are cheap, food is adequare..
What more can I say??

That was a business trip to the Maubege region. The rooms are in the next building to the reception and restaurant. The hotel is very small. In the rooms you can find a bad and a shelf with teapot and TV. Small wardrob and air condition. Bath with a small heater. Please be aware that you need a long cable if you want to charge you mobile devices close to your bed. The WIFI is working perfectly. The breakfast is not extensive. No hot dishes.

Room Tip: The rooms 32-42 are better because it is the first floor and park view.

Very small and basic rooms. No room between one side of the bed and the wall and only enough to walk to the bathroom on the other. Very little space for your luggage. Tiny bathroom with few amenities. A metal roller shutter over the window kept the noise out but felt very claustrophobic. However, the breakfast was good (simple also). Probably would not go back there but was OK for one night as we wanted to stay in the area. It is adjacent to historical remains of a fortified stronghold from 17th century which are very interesting so the location was good.

Room Tip: A room closer to the ruins is much quieter than those near the road.

Clean and comfortable, rooms are tiny however, even the triple.......on the main street. Ate at a great pizzeria/sandwich shop on the main street coming in from Mons.......called THe Maubeugious. (spelling.) Friendly staff.

It was a very hot day but the air con not efficient enough as it just didn't cool the room down. The decoration was very tired and in need of a new coat of paint. The grouting between the bathroom tiles on wall and floor were stained although the bed linen and towels were clean and crisp. We found the room rate expensive for the accommodation we had. Won't stay again.
