“As interesting for the building as the exhibits”
Reviewed 17 August 2014

An amazing place that is as interesting for the building itself as the exhibits - buy the ticket for 10 euros that gives entry to the flaunders textile museum in Roubaix and a free coffee/drink at several restaurants in the city

“Simply Amazing!”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

I wasn't sure what to expect on the trip out to this museum come art gallery. I had been put off a bit by the title 'industrie'. As I got off the metro and walked in the rain up the street of what could only be described as a down at heal suburb I had no idea of the incredible surprise that awaited me. I can't recommend this delightful gallery highly enough. There is an art gallery in an old train station in Paris which is one of my favorites in all the world and I have now been to one to rival that - in a swimming pool - and it was transformed by the same designer. If you are in Lille you MUST visit this establishment.

“Very nice modern art museum”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Some ceramics by Picasso and lots of paintings from Joseph Weerts. Nice ambiance. Surroundings of the museum is nothing, run down place with rundown people, drunks and junkies.

“Excellent conversion”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

I must admit, I'm a fan of Art Deco so I was mainly going for the swimming pool architecture as much as time wasting and looking at the works.

One thing that did disappoints me was the quality of the contents of the gift shop, plenty of books on arts but the fridge magnets, for an art museum have a terribly composed photograph of the sun burst window mostly washed out and it's reflection in the water cut off!
Nought one anyway...

“Stunning museum”
Reviewed 14 July 2014

This museum is situated in a restored Art Deco swimming pool and it is stunning. Fantastic art collection, not just paintings, the collection also includes magnificent sculptures, fabrics and designer clothes. Worth the admission money alone for the restored pool and building. A must visit museum if you are anywhere close to Roubaix.
