“Perfectly Integrated with the Town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile

Finished in only 60 years Amiens Cathedral is wonderful in many ways. Go up to the roof to get a fantastic view of the Parvis and the town and country around. The refurbishment has brought the cathedral back to real beauty, so much more than in the UK where the Reformation took so much statuary. If only we have been there for the Son et Lumiere!

“Son et Lumiere not to be missed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

We happened upon the night-time light show on the cathedral's facade, and it was amazing. The show turned this stunning (huge!) cathedral into a polychromatic storybook. Had we been able to understand the accompanying story, I'm sure we'd have been even more moved. Magical night.

“Beautiful and uplifting”

Absolutely gorgeous cathedral, apparently the largest in France and free to enter. The stained glass is beautiful and just everything about the cathedral is awe inspiring. Set in the lovely town of Amien which we adored, it is a wonderful day out from paris.
