I was visiting the region to see the sites on The Somme and hadn't pre booked, and found this place by chance.
I could pull up outside and enquire if they had rooms.
The girls on the desk were so friendly and welcoming.
The rate was reasonable for town centre.
The place was very clean neat and tidy
The Campanile is tucked away round the back of the station and is in a good central location with a reasonably priced city centre car park next door.
My only negative is that the restaurant and bar which appeared very quiet and lacking in atmosphere. This may be unfair as I didn't use it, but the restaurants by the river are so nice it would be a shame to miss them in favour if the hotel restaurant.

This centrally located hotel had a comfortable and appealing minimalist decor. Parking was available very conveniently just across the street at 7 euros for an overnight stay. Front desk staff were very helpful. Amiens is a lovely, historic town with an amazing cathedral and well worth the visit. I would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it to a friend.

We visited Amiens in order to spend time at the Australian War Memorial in Villers-Bretenneoux.

The Camanile was well located to restaurants, the railway station and the staff were very professional with a strong use of English throughout the hotel for tourists.

Rooms were large and comfortable with free wi-fi in the rooms.

When it came to our visit to the Australian War Memorial, the staff were able to provide directions and advice.

Remembering that you are visiting rural France, any communications difficulties simply make the trip more authentic.

In order to visit Amiens and the Australian War Memorial, a one hour train ride through beautiful rural France is simply undertaken.

Dear Guests,

We are happy to have been helpful during your stay at the Campanile, we received a lot of australians people, and it is with emotion that we think that you are coming from so far away in memories of the ancients who battle on this land.

I hope you will have the opportunity to come again to France and Picardie
With my best regards,
Anne D

I was a little hesitant when I booked the hotel - hotels close to railway stations tend to be noisy.
But not this hotel. The railway station is somewhere under ground and cannot be heard or felt.
Service is professional and friendly (a professional staff should aways be friendly, eh?).
All amenities in the room worked well - but I missed a minibar.
Breakfast was plentiful (but no hot stuff besides coffee, tea and toast). But as a French breakfast it was approved with acclamation!
Unfortunately we could not have a dinner on that Sunday night - maybe they are better off on weekdays.
The town - cathedtral, shopping street and the "old town" are all within walking distance.
A parking garage, opposite to the hotel, is another "goodie" for those in need of a garage.
Summary: Value for money and I would gladly stay there again.

Room Tip: Seems that every roojm is a good room.

Dear guest,

Thank you for your nice comment
This Campanile is a new construction and has a good protection against the noise.
It is fine, you get time to visit our city, and I am sure you still have sites as the Hortillonnages and the Jules verne House to discover.
See you soom
With my best regards,
Anne D

Basic but clean and efficient accommodation. Very pleasant and friendly staff. Nice open lobby area. Bedroom basic but adequate with an excellent shower and comfortable bed. Free wifi and kettle (always welcome but not automatically available in France). Only downside was the breakfast which was limited in choice but okay otherwise. Beside rail station and within easy walk of the magnificent cathedral. Happy to stay in Campanile in future for value but don't expect luxuries.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your nice comment, and I hope you had time to visit all the main attractions in Amiens as the Hortillonnages and the Jules Verne House.
And we understand that we still have to improve service as breakfast.

Best regards,

We spent 3 nights here visiting Amiens and the WWI battlefields of the Western Front. From check in which was a breeze, to the really comfortable bed and pillows, to the delicious Mojitos at the bar, our experience was great. We had a king size bed on the 2nd floor, the railway station is right outside but the noise was mostly unnoticeable. We could occasionally hear a bit of a rumble it did not effect our sleep at all. The room was large enough and very clean. The restaurant staff we dealt with were very friendly, a nice change after 2 weeks in Paris. Even the housekeeping staff were friendly and did a lovely job. I definitely recommend Campanile for your visit to Amiens.

Stayed 2 nights here. 5 mins walk from the station and 10 mins from the Cathedral. Despite being so close to the station, it was very quiet. Lovely modern room. Nice restaurant and bar. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast - so much to choose from.
