“Great little find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 April 2013

Normally we stay in pretty good hotels but this little cheap find was fantastic!!! We a family of 4 stayed in the blue room - room 5 up 2 flights of creaky stairs. 2 double comfortable beds in a small family run hotel in great location on side street. Stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful sleep. Owner is English speaking, very helpful - no charges for laundry and even bought it up to our room. Went out of his way to help when he could and even let us take the power adaptor with us at no charge that he had lent us. Shower is small but was not a problem for us- water hot! Wifi a little sketchy but was not a concern for us. Room is simple, clean and comfortable. Breakfast in quaint little front room and done so well and very generous. Breads, jams, yogurt and fruit. Would we stay her again absolutely !!!!!

Room Tip: Blue room has 2 double beds and room faces the street with large opening window. Would not recomme...

We stayed for only one night in Amiens to see the Cathedral and selected the Hotel Victor Hugo because it was highly recommended by Trip Advisor. It was unbelievably reasonable and was just a short walk to the cathedral (a world heritage site). We had the front room and thought there was a great deal of street noise. We did not notice til the following morning as we exited that our window was open at the very top. Obviously, we would have had a quieter night with the window closed. The hosts were very helpful with directions and for use of wifi.

Spent two nights here for the Rederie - 6th/7th October 2012. Can't fault this little hotel for cleanliness and value for money. We had a large room on the ground floor (which we chose for ourselves when in Amiens last April). The room and en-suite were lovely. However at night, with the window ajar, the noise outside from local students was dreadful. I would definitely stay here again, although next time I will choose a room higher up.

Room Tip: Suggest rooms higher up. Ground floor room can be noisy at night from local revellers outside.

A great hotel 5 mins away from the beautiful Cathedral, rooms clean and have all the standard features no tea or coffee however, very cheap with very nice/polite staff,

Great location for visiting the battlefields

Stayed 1 night 10th August. Fantastic city centre location, rooms were typical of a French hotel .
Room was nice and clean, comfortable bed and had a fully functioning ensuite.
Friendly greeting on arrival and very helpful team, we did not take breakfast as the day was bright and sunny so went into town.

Room Tip: We had room 1, not much of a view from the window ...but that was not high on our agenda.

I had a room on the first floor with a double bed and en suite. The linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. Good Wifi access provided by the friendly hotel manager. Lots of power outlets for charging computer and batteries. The hotel is in a great location--maybe about a 2 minute walk to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. Also about a 5 minute walk to the overnight parking garage.

Some of the furnishings could use a bit of sprucing up; the mirror was flaking a bit and the lights were dusty. You can also hear through the walls and when people upstairs move around. Lots of squeaky floorboards. No frills here but a spacious room and overall a good value.

Room Tip: There is no elevator so you may want to book the first floor; however, you will hear people upstairs...

Found this hotel through the Rough Guide and it was everything it promised. It is right in the middle of town and in August we had no problem parking very close to the hotel. Owner friendly, rooms clean, breakfast fine. Excellent value for money. Clearly consistent in its quality.

Room Tip: The rooms are reached by some quite step stairs.
