In Amiens for their braderie and was able to get a table here for dinner. My wife had the rump steak, which was good. I had the game cock, which was excellent.

If the weather is fine sit outside otherwise dine inside, decor is lovely, a lot about clocks and time, menu is extensive and offers a good cross section of French favourites. StFf are friendly and helpful to translTe. Food was hot and of exceptional quality. Well worth a visit

We had dinner here. The service was good and the interior of the restaurant had a high standard. The food was okay. Don't splurge here but order something rustic and you won't be disappointed.

We came to Amiens for the first time this year. It was during a cold February but we have been 'blown away' by how beautiful it is. On our second night we wandered down towards the centre and noticed Brasserie L'horloge which had been on the recommended list at our hotel, the beautiful and characterful Le Prieure just next to Amiens gorgeous Cathedral. It was very busy which we felt was probably a good sign. We were served by a nice young man who spoke perfect English but had the grace and excellent manners to listen to our haltering French and even help us to be understood. He explained anything we didn't understand on the menu with good humour and politeness. The food was lovely. It had that sort of perfected simplicity which leads to wonderful flavour and which is very thing that French cuisine is so famous for. My husband was impressed with his steak and my salmon was just perfect. For dessert I had a lovely combination of caramelised apple crumble with ice cream and a cream and mascarpone topping. The flavours were balanced to perfection. The restaurant was very busy but the waiters seemed to be able to absorb it all with skill, patience and good humour. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. I would heartily recommend this place. It would succeed in London I think.
