a. located very centre of the city. 10 seconds away from centre square and main cathedral.
b. own private parking
c. Good money for value hotel
d. friendly staff

overall, St-Quentin doesn't offer much apart from city centre. main square is quite beautiful.
but rest of city can be quite depressing. so hotel located in city centre is quite important in this city. enjoy.

Booked this hotel last minute via the internet. It is ideal with a central location with secure off road parking, bedroom was large with nice bathroom, mini bar, flat screen TV and looked as though it had been recently redecorated as well. A short walk to the town centre with lots of restaurants and nice shops. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money, we didn't try the breakfast as had an early start the next day.

Used by a group of 5 when staying 2 nights for a car show in the area, the large apartment room is incredible value.

A little run down and the shower was rubbish, but lots of space for very little money.

St. Quentin seemed a good spot for a stopover being about 100 miles South of Calais. The Hotel Memorial is right in the centre of the town. It has good secure parking, although access is via a very tight entryway off the narrow street. The hotel is quite small with rooms in the main hotel, and ALS some newer rooms in the annexe. The rooms are small, but light and airy. We had a superior room which also had access to a roof top terrace, which was quite nice as the sun was shining while we were there. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, which was a basic continental, but was served at your table, and was of good quality.

St.Quentin is fine for one night. It has a number of restaurants and bars on the large main square, along with a number of fine public buildings.

Room Tip: Go for the superior room

Arrived after long days drive from UK for 1 night stopover en route to south of France. Tight squeeze into private parking (we had to pay a charge to use it) which felt secure though it is not locked from public access. Staff friendly and welcoming, rooms were clean and appeared quite new and modernized (but no air con) compared to some equivalent-priced stopover hotels we have used. We slept well after a delicious 'Moules Frites' and some local wine in restaurant close by in the main town square which was pretending to be a beach! Breakfast (another charge added) was functional rather than yummy consisting of a personal basket containing a croissant, demi-baguette and 'pain chocolat', some extras like yogurt etc to be had but not much beyond that. We departed next morning refreshed after a comfortable overnight stay. I could not say that I would stay there for a long time but for a stopover it was just grand and not too expensive either.

We have stayed at this family-run place many times over the years although this was the first time in about ten years. The reasons we stay here are (a) location - the hotel is 3 minutes walk from the town square with its mixture of medieval and Art Deco architecture (b) there is private parking (c) it is cosy and homely and (d) it is reasonably priced. The rooms, especially the shower rooms, have been completely refurbished. The big negative is that it is not air-conditioned (although to be fair this is reflected in the price). We arrived on a sizzling hot day and found our room absolutely stifling. On complaining they gave us a mobile air conditioner with a tube to stick out of the window which made a slight difference. As luck would have it there was a tremendous thunderstorm a few hours after our arrival which brought the temperature down dramatically. The breakfasts are simple but include fresh fruit. Our room was quiet and we had a good sleep. We would certainly return at this price.

Room Tip: Facing the courtyard

Considering it's in Rue de la Comedie, it felt as though we were in a comedy!
Firstly though, the plus points. The hotel is very central, good value for money (not expensive) and our room was clean and fairly well equipped. The en-suite was actually very high standard, with excellent towels and fitments. Parking is free, on-site and though access is fairly tight off the street, once inside, there is plenty of space to manoeuvre.

Now the less positive. As another reviewer has said, it is really a B&B rather than a hotel. We arrived at around 4.0pm to find the hotel deserted. When eventually someone arrived, we were let in and given our room. There appeared to be no-one else in the place, which was no problem; just a bit weird. The main areas of the hotel exude French style, but are in desperate need of upgrading. The spiral staircase would never pass modern safety inspections and our bed linen, whilst perfectly clean, consisted of sheets & blankets!
Breakfast was, shall we say, challenging! Some would consider it typically French, but the meal consisted of bread and cold croissants with jam and kiddies cheese. There was a fruit bowl and some yoghurt available. It was all served on a tray, with a paper insert. Not a plate to be seen.
I had requested gluten free bread, which was kindly provided, but proved inedible. Whether it needed cooking I don't know, but I ended up quitting and eat some bits I had brought with me.
It probably ranked as the worst 'hotel' breakfast I have had. As a tip, don't bother. Find a café instead.
