This famous French Attraction Parc doesn't stop improving its quality along years !
Very near by Poitiers, it goes on attracting more and more clients .
Unfortunately, waiting is too rarely short !
Nice attraction parc, BUT we wait way too much for each attraction. More than 1 hour each time for 5 min…I mean even if the app helps, you spend more time waiting than enjoying. Just a shame as attractions are interresting and fun.
Need to improve waiting time by giving information in the middle of the line for exemple.
Excellent attraction parc. Also Plenty of older kids attractions. Also some areas for younger ones like futuropolis.
Wonderful day out despite the very long queues 2nd week in August ( 2 hours for 4/7 mns attractions) . Got a little bit better in the evening. Linerty really helped too but you have to be fast.
Our 6 year old loved ' Dans les yeux de Thomas Pesquet', Futuropolis (very little queuing - a must with young children) , lapins crétins and objectif Mars.
Brought the picnic, skipped queuing time. Tried to get dinner in the evening but had to be booked in advance.
Would love to go back off peak. Still a great day out on a busy day if you lower your expectations and don't try to do too many attractions....
What is difficult with a park like this is the 'future' element - the bosses need to keep up-to-date continuously with tech. Inevitably this means that the park seems slightly out of date, or over-enthusiastic about certain technologies.
We, as a family, had a great time - the kids really loved it. We, as parents, found it a bit repetitive with most rides being based on the kind of 4D or 5D experiences sat on a chair. Most of the 'rides' are about 10mins long, so queuing for around 45 mins (in the quiet season) was long for such a short event.
I was expecting more educational and cutting-edge elements to the experiences, but no; it's a theme park.
The restauration was good, and we really really appreciated the design of the waiting areas; they have designed waiting areas that are distracting and protected from the elements; bravo!
Futuroscope is a family theme park with an emphasis on technology and visual effects (3D, 4D) and an extensive playground for children (“Futuropolis”). Apart from a few attractions (“Mission to Mars”, “Dancing with robots”) I suspect it will not appeal to genuine thrillseekers.
The various attractions and shows come with background stories and props and are very well executed and entertaining, although often somewhat short. Sadly, dialogue is only in french and no subtitles are provided.
Futuroscope is clean and we always felt safe. The park was not crowded. Wearing a mask is compulsory in all attractions and dispensers of liquid to clean hands are available everywhere.
One day is sufficient to experience all attractions (apart from “Futuropolis”). Personal favorites include “Extraordinaire voyage”, “Age de glace”, “Illusio”, “Le mystère du kube”, “Kinékid” and “Arthur”.
A bracelet allows visitors to leave Futuroscope and come back in later the same day.
