Let me start saying that this hotel is very appealing in many aspects. It is very close to the motorway, located in the middle of a park with ponds and swans, with ample parking space, a round-about for unloading your luggage, the reception area features a classy mix of old restored and brand new furniture, the restaurant area is spacious and elegant, the porch very cozy for breakfast on a rainy day (frequent in this part of France), and the indoor heated swimming pool is simple regal. All these would merit a five-star review.
However, when it comes to the rooms, the are just not up to expectations. They are OK in size, very clean, well decorated, with automatic blinds that provide for very dark nights, good isolation, newly-refurbished bathrooms and comfortable beds. The flip side, and this might be limited to the one room we had, is that neither the air conditioning, nor the mini fridge worked. We did not have any need of them in the single night we spent, but if you thing you might need it, pay attention to this.
The breakfast buffet in the morning was very tasty even if the selection of hearty food was limited.
All in all, the experience was quite pleasant, once we got acquainted withe the limitations we faced.More
