First of all the hosts (Francoise and Pascal) were exceptional. it was relaxing, just awesome. My heart races when i think of the time we had there. They were very helpful with planning our day and our trip. Their home was impeccable, very detailed design, you feel like you're in your own fairy-tale french home away from home. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were great. The food...Francoise told us about two restaurants that were just out of this world. but her breakfasts...especially the dessert, Oh my world. delicious. Be careful not to eat too much though as hard as that may be because you will be sleeping for hours. We never left home before 2pm while we were there, because we ate so much. Whenever I go back to Provence I am staying here for the whole trip, so I am booking earlier next time. I hated the fact that i had to leave. It was very close to everything in that area and there was of view of Les Baux from our room, and the Alpilles surrounds you. Only thing is make sure you have a car to get around which should be a given if you are in provence. She gave us a parting gift when we left which was insanely nice and we still have it today. Just go there and you will see what i mean...don,t let the fact that your French isn't great deter you because like Francoise says GOOOOOGGGLEEEEE.

My fiancee and I stayed at Le Mas d'Emilie for four nights in April and we had a wonderful time. Francoise and Pascal were incredible hosts, who were genuinely interested in and concerned about their guests. Their house and all its furnishings (when they told us they had built themselves!) was simply stunning! And, the breakfast spread every morning of homemade bread and jams, with an added dish freshly made by Francoise each morning, was one of the best breakfasts we'd been treated to anywhere in the world. On top of all of that, when we asked Francoise for some assistance to retrieve our passports which we had left at our hotel in Grasse (a town 400km away on the other side of Provence) she took it upon herself to contact our hotel to arrange for them to courier them accross to her, and to chase the french postal system when it looked like they might not arrive in time (not an easy thing to do!). We could not recommend Le Mas d'Emilie more highly!

Our group of six friends stayed with Françoise and Pascal for four days in April. It was definitely a highlight for our trip of a month in France. They were very charming and their home was exquisitely decorated and every detail was perfectly met in our rooms. We told her she was the french Martha Stewart! Françoise treated us to a wonderful breakfast each morning with her freshly made bread, yogurt, homemade jams and a special treat that got the day off to a great start.

Françoise and Pascal do not speak very much english and I had a wonderful time bringing my french back to life. They were very patient with me and I was speaking french fairly well by the time we left. They were very gracious and helped with recommendations for excursions and restaurants in the area. When we left, we felt we were leaving old friends.

We especialy enjoyed the restaurant, Le Patio, in Fontvieille - a real gourmet treat! We went there twice in four days!

Francoise wins the award for kindest, most caring 'den mother'. She really connects with you, and couldn't be more helpful. It's a large modern farmhouse in the fields, and we had the two room suite [for three of us] which was excellent and separated from the house, and the price was very low ideed for the high standard accom. Breakfast is lovely, her husband is the quiet one but equally nice, and bless you Francoise.

Their B&B is in an excellent central location to see everything in Provence. Two nights was not enough time to see everything. Breakfast was amazing with homemade jams and yogurt and bread. The house does not have a number associated with the address so it was difficult to find with our GPS at night but Francoise came and found us and escorted us back. It is beautiful - wonderful people and highly recommended!!!

Room Tip: Le Chamber overlooks the pool and rock garden and is quite large, perfect get away location.

My husband and I stayed three nights at this fabulous B&B. Francoise and Pascal are extremely warm and welcoming. Although they do not speak English, we had no problem as they have WIFI and we were able to use Google translate to discuss everything from restaurant and sightseeing recommendations (make sure to get their suggestions - they were wonderful), to politics and current events. They treated us to some wine every afternoon. The house is newly renovated (with air conditioning) and decorated in exquisite taste. We were very comfortable. The grounds and pool are beautiful as well. The breakfast was fantastic, with huge portions and a wide array of very tasty jams. The inn is very conveniently located near Arles, Avignon and Les Baux.
