We were completely blown away by this heaven on Earth. Pleasantly greeted by both Cynthia the owner and Cristel, her assistant, this place was the best B&B I have ever stayed at. There is impeccable design, not a piece of detail forgotten. You can tell this is a labour if love. The hospitality, warmth and welcome was genuine and truly sweet. And not to mention that breakfast. Wow! The scenery is gorgeous and with just a short haunt to the little town by the water this place is a true gem. And not to mention that pool. Beautiful. There's a boat cruise to see the natural rock formations, excellent restaurants and shops, and not to mention that refreshing wine. A perfect stay, a perfect location, peace, tranquility and a memory I will always treasure. honeymooners, anniversaries, girls getaways, any reason to get away, this is a perfect spot.

My 10 day France trip began in Paris but ended in a beautiful town called Cassis. I researched accomdations, on line and found reviews for a small B&B in Cassis. The drive to Maison 9 was breathtaking. When we arrived on April 9th and were in complete awe for the 3 days of our stay.
The detail of this beautiful home and property is beyond words. It was as if we landed in paradise.
The room was not only private it was the immaculate in cleanliness, and you will find all the comforts of home, and then some. There were continuous moments of awe on all the details that you come across. You will experience the best bed you ever slept in with the most comfortable bedding, to the best shower you will ever have! Enjoying your personal espresso maker and laying out on your private terrace with a blanket staring at the stars. You continuously feel like life can not get any better. The hospitality of the owner (Cynthia Kayser-Maus) and the assistant Christel is outstanding! We were not only greeted by both, but given the most gratious assistance on tips of surroundings and to must do's. I assure you that the breakfast that Christel will prepare for you will be the best breakfast of your life. The freshness in the fruit and the freshly squeesed juice is so delicious! There is enless things that I can say to describe this beautiful B & B. I assure you it will be the best place you have ever stayed. I look forward to coming back one day!

Room Tip: I had a tour of all the rooms. They are seemed spectacular. I personally stayed in Room #4 and it...

We loved staying here! Christel was an extraordinary hostess and a real delight. The rooms are beautifully appointed, and very clean. The property "is a bit off the beaten path", so it is nice and quiet and has a real serene feel to it. The walk into Cassis takes only about 15 minutes. We really enjoyed exploring the markets and the many waterfront restaurants! A boat tour of the Calanques is a must - very beautiful! Marseilles is close by, and really worth exploring if you have the time. We particularly enjoyed the start to the day here - a wonderful breakfast prepared by Christel, who would also spend some time chatting with us about the area, and our plans for the day.
We would love to go back!

Room Tip: Each room is unique and wonderful in its own way.

My husband & I just spent 3 nights at Maison 9 and we just LOVED it! From the second we got there to the minute we left we were treated with the most attentive and courteous hospitality. The Suite we were in as well as the entire surroundings were beautiful. It was everything one would expect at a Southern France Vineyard B&B. I would most definitely go back!

Room Tip: There are only 4 Suites (rooms) - we were in Suite #1.

Our 3 night stay at Maison 9 was the perfect way to relax and ease into our vacation after flying into Marseilles from the US. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by Christel and taken on a tour of the amazingly lovely and peaceful property. The suites are situated so that each one is very private. We stayed in Suite #1 which was beautiful and quite comfortable. Each morning we were served a delicious breakfast on the patio overlooking the vineyards and rural countryside. The breakfast offerings included fresh fruit, juice, coffee/tea, fabulous cheeses and meats, sweet rolls, croissants, baguette, granola, yogurt, eggs made-to-order, and bacon. It was paradise! Christel readily offered her assistance in recommending local restaurants and sites, as well as making reservations for us. All the staff was courteous, cheerful, and quite helpful.
As others have noted, Maison 9 doesn't accept credit cards or US checks. Since we didn't want to carry around excessive amounts of cash, we wired the funds for our stay in advance. It would be nice if Maison 9 had a PayPal account so payment could be made with less hassle.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Maison 9 and recommend it without reservation.

Room Tip: We had good WIFI access in Suite #1.

Maison 9 is located approx. 5 min drive to Cassis where you will find all sorts of different restaurants, shops etc.

This is not a classical B&B; it is more run like a hotel - very professional though.
The owner, Mrs Maus was not there and Mrs Christel who took care of us during the stay was nice but it did not have the personal touch you would expect from a B&B and this is what we missed most.

Maison 9 is located close by a busy street which leads to the highway; you will hear the noise during the day but this is no issue during the night.

Our room was very nice. As expected the interior design very tasteful.
It is more like a junior suite with a separate living and bed room with a little private porch. Regretfully the bed was too soft for us, felt saggy but it could have been that the mattress was really soft. The bath room is small and offers only a shower. The room we staid had no Wifi - in order to use this free service we needed to go to the pool area instead. Not a big issue but not very handy.
The garden and the pool area is beautiful and worth to stay; you can also play Boule if you want.

Breakfast was good but nothing special. You can expect fried eggs, bacon, croissants, fruits, pastries, jam etc.

There was a power issue and the gate did not open at 10pm and no one was around so we could not get in first. Finally we managed to get in but this is something you do not want to experience during your vacation. And I guess this is also what we mean if we say me missed the personal touch. Mrs Christel was really sorry for that but it left some bad feelings at our end...

However, it is a lovely place and worth to visit at least for 2-3 days even it is not cheap. There are great things you can do in and around Cassis or you just enjoy Maison 9.
