“Nice location but no ambiance”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

We stayed in June and had the largest suite. Nice room, clean, just renovated. Negatif; airco did not work, had to ask twice, engineer came and could not find a solution. It worked the next day though.
We would appriciate supply of soap/shampoo etc every day and not only at arrival. If you pay 450 euro (!) per night, then this should be included. We had dinner on the terrace, beautiful place but a bit outdated, needs good cleaning and paint shop. Waiters are willing but a bit too familiar for us. Staff needs "fresh blood" and a bit more modern approach. Food was more or less ok, but not spectacular. Breakfast however is to skip; in full sun, no shady tables, warm upped deepfrozen croissants, soem "bonne maman" confiture. Breakfast like in a truck drivers cafe. We skipped it and had breakfast in town, lots of places at the harbour propose it.
Resuming; good location, clean, but nothing special to return. For us it was not worth the price.

We loved this hotel! The room and bathroom were very spacious. The views of Cassis from this hotel are breathtaking. The access to the sea and the infinity pool offer so much relaxation while taking in the beautiful views. The staff are very helpful and the restaurant is delicious. The hotel is also located within an easy walk to town. Would love to still be there soaking up the sun!

Hands down, staying at Les Roches Blanches was one of the highlights of our 3 week French adventure.

At the last minute I decided to change the reservation from a garden view to a sea view room and that was a wise decision!! Yes, it's more expensive but for us, worth it. Breakfast on our balcony? Priceless. Dinner with a ringside sea view? Outstanding.

First, we loved charming, quaint, walkable Cassis. The hotel location, well signed for driving there, was perfect for views and an easy walk into town. Not having to deal with traffic, congestion, confusion, or finding a parking place provided convenience in abundance.

We arrived from Carcassone in the afternoon with time to check in, get settled, walk to the village and catch a boat tour of the Calanques. The sea was such we could do only 3 but it was a gorgeous day and interesting to see the shore and cliffs AND our sea front hotel.

May 1 was May Day which was surprisingly celebrated by all with individuals selling flowers along the roadside and just about every place else. Our breakfast on our room balcony arrived with a fresh lily of the valley, a memory I shall always carry.

Some may balk at the price for a sea view room as the room itself isn't huge or overly impressive but nicely done and we had everything we wanted. When you consider the spectacular setting, the convenience of free parking, walking into town and avoiding crowds and traffic, it was well worth the price. And even if you don't book a sea view room, the stunning outdoor areas - pool, different leveled patios, breakfast on the patio, dining room location - you can't go wrong!

The online booking process was terrific. Sophie, who even wrote while on Xmas holiday and when the hotel was closed, was efficient, friendly, responsive, thorough. We enjoyed the ENTIRE hotel staff. Karen (? sp) at the front desk was especially helpful and reserved our perfect dinner table in the dining room. We thought our dinner was excellent and had fun with the maitre 'd. And of course breakfast in our robes on our balcony was perfection.

We wished we had been able to stay longer than 1 night. If/when we take another trip to France we shall definitely include a return visit.

Room Tip: Our sea view room was Persee. We didn't see other rooms. But the view??? Unforgettable and wo...

Les Roches Blanches is a super, small family hotel, with its own direct access on to the Mediterranean Sea. It has stunning views of the town of Cassis, which is within walking distance, and there is a good public beach about 200m walk away. The hotel itself has its own infinity-type rim flow swimming pool, and terraces under the Aleppa pines for excellent sun-bathing opportunities. There is a fabulous 10-foot metal vertical ladder leading directly from the limestone terrace rocks into the Med : you can either climb down, or dive in if you're brave enough. We have had two lovely holidays at this hotel - each evening we walk into Cassis and eat at a different restaurant each night. Fully recommended.

Room Tip: Sea view with balcony

We visit Roches Blanches in Cassis last September with 8 people. What a beautiful location. Building has to be updated, but the location with the pool with seaview is perfect.
Nice staff a expensive, but fresh breakfast!
We have bin there four the third time.

The grounds of the hotel are not to be missed. There are lots of hidden places that you can lounge and enjoy the view of the town of Cassis and the Mediterranean. We really enjoyed the access to the ocean....jump off a ledge and into the water. Very refreshing. I wouldn't rate the quality of the rooms as the best that I have ever stayed in; that being said, if i ever went back to Cassis I would def stay at Les Roches Blanches again.

This lovely Art Deco style hotel's position offers unrivalled views over Cassis. The terraced grounds maximise the space available, as does the elegant infinity pool but the stars of the show are the staff. Old time elegant service in the restaurant and the ladies in reception really couldn't be more helpful. All in all, a marvellous experience.

Room Tip: 285 Euro for a sea view worth every penny.
