Very good location. Great view on Marine Bay. For the rest I would say I'll give 2-3*** out of 10..... Please be ready to carry your suitcase by yourself to the room as there no elevator!!! The lady at reception was very friendly (can't say about the rest citizens in France...) , though she didn't speak English we managed to understand everything!). I was there in July and my main aim was Calanques ....So if you need budget hotel with the sea view - it's it.

We stayed at this hotel in early September and asked for a room with a view of the water. We loved sitting on the small terrace with a glass of wine watching the sun set and the village come alive with lights and activity. There is a wonderful castle in the hills that is illuminated at night and it is like a fairytale. try to plan to be there for the wednesday market which is extensive and handy to walk too. We loved Cassis.

Room Tip: go for a room looking out on the water..otherwise stay somewhere else

Our rooms at this hotel were small, had not been updated in decades and the linens were small and scratchy. It was shocking to me that a lovely town like Cassis would have such a hotel that was so out of date and expensive.
The saving grace was a very small balcony that looked out over the absolutely gorgeous bay of Cassis. It was Bastille Day so we stood on the balcony and watched the fireworks that night. Would love to think of something complimentary to say about the hotels but really can't.

Room Tip: Don't stay there.

Small room, sparse furniture and a rude receptionnist, but the view over the port made up for all of that! Our room on the second floor was indeed very small, as the bed was against the wall on one side and left perhaps three feet on the other, but it was clean, and in any event you are not in Cassis to spend time in the room! Parking can be tricky; we had reserved parking through the hotel at the nearby LaViguerie parking (€10 a night) but be ready to go around in circles until you finally understand all the instructions! Breakfast is available at the restaurant located on the main floor of the hotel, but it certainly did not inspire us, and we preferred getting coffee and danish at a nearby bakery. Finding a good restaurant for dinner is as easy as walking perhaps 100 yards along the waterfront... Oh...did I mention the VIEW!

Room Tip: The activity on the promenade along the port can be noisy, but we preferred to keep our windows open to soak up the atmosphere

Don't be fooled by the view. This place smells so bad, we had to find another room in town. The receptionist was very rude. Plenty of other options in this beautiful town. Don't stay at Hotel Le Golfe.
