“Average hotel... Perfect location...”
Reviewed 10 August 2012

I was there last weekend for 2 days with my girlfriend.

Negatives:
I have paid €200 per night (no breakfast included!!!) for a very small room on the lower floor (garden floor) and didnt really like the view. You feel underground because the garden is a big hole. So definitetly get the first floor rooms!!!
Rooms are very badly soundproofing...
It's a family run business and the owners seems kind and smiling, but they are so fake... specially the lady...
We have asked for a 1h more late check-out (1:00pm) and it was denied it without reason.

Positive:
I have found the hotel location perfect. Specially if you are travelling with a car.
You have a wonderfull beach at 100mt from the hotel.
I suggest you to have dinner at Le Farigolette... it really worth it!

A whirlwind stay on a business trip and I didn't want to leave. Comfortable beds, luxury shower, sea-view, Champagne bar in the reception, amazing breakfast. The service from the family owners was perfect. Go now!!

Room Tip: Ask for seaside rooms on the upper floor.

We needed a break and frankly were just looking for a bit of sun a beach and a change of scene and weather. Some friends had recommended La Fossette so we gave it a whirl. Brilliant. Very relaxed in a truly special little corner of France. What was most impressive was that the village still runs as a real place and not just for the tourists. Our hosts Patricia and Philippe were charming and had all the answers to where to explore when we did get a bit more adventurous. They lent us bikes for the bike trail that has taken over the old railway and then met us with a glass of the local tipple (rose of course) when we got home. I think they are closed for the winter but we'll certainly be down there again for an early taste of spring next year.

Stayed for a couple of weeks through business. Ended up moving rooms twice as it was a last minute booking, but that was fine and the staff moved my stuff whilst I was at work so no effort on my behalf. Best rooms were those with sea view balcony on the first floor, although the garden rooms are also fine, but with no view of the sea. Breakfast was very good, as is the location for the beach. WIFI Internet is a bit hit and miss - some rooms have very good coverage some have none at all. Nice restaurants near by and walkable. Would stay here again.

Very charming and warmly hotel. Quite small and close to the beach of la fossette, literally a 2 minute walk away. We were in a sea-view room where the balcony gave us a nice view of the la fossette beach. The room was clean with standard services (French Satellite TV, Bathroom + shower, closet). What was missing was a bathtub and an iron. The owners were friendly and often came in contact with us regarding our stay and often suggested places to go eat, shop or hang out. The only cons were the car park which is not right on the spot (3 minute walk) and no restaurant in the hotel (no amenities in the room) which means you have to eat out for lunch and dinners, and considering the room price (210€ / night during high season) you have to have a "food" budget as well...restaurants are not cheap in the Lavandou. You also have to include and extra 18€ per person for breakfast, and 7€ for the car park. If you're staying in this hotel, you really want to have a means of transport, (car or bike at least) because there are only 2 restaurants around and the beach. Downtown where the action is, is a 10 min drive away. Overall a very charming hotel, clean, neat, family-like where you can rest and go to a very nice beach and easily move around the côte d'azure. PS: if you want to use the available amenities on the beach of La Fossette, they can be very expensive, over 20€ for a half-day to rent a beach chair and umbrella for 2.

We had a suite with our own terrace and looked onto a small sunken terrace beneath a towering palm tree. The hotel is well located near the main road and cycleway. It has limited parking but has reserved spaces in a municipal car park only one minute's walk away.

The attention to detail is impressive - this hotel is spotless and well appointed with Wifi throughout. There is no restaurant but there several within easy walking distance. The breakfast is exepensive if you only want modest portions. In France we now avoid the pricey breakfasts and head for the nearest cafe.

This is a very good hotel and, although not cheap, provides excellent value for money considering its location

La Fossette is hotel that is close by le Lavandou, but not too close (very long walk or taxi)

The rooms are average, nothing stands out but they charge a high preimum for the close proximity to the beach. In my opinon, this hotel is nothing special and we have stayd in much better place in similar price bracket.
