This property is not especially impressive on the outside, but the inside is very pretty and very spacious in all common areas. The rooms are nice and clean and adequate in size. The best part is the absolutely gorgeous view of the marina off the private balcony.

It is well situated near the town and the staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. I love bright clean rooms and this property did not disappoint!

Room Tip: I saw 2 rooms and both were very nice with sea views.

We just stayed at this property (mid July). It is in an wonderful location. The room was clean and had a great view of the harbor. Staff Marianne and Bart were friendly and helpful and they spoke English. Breakfast was a good option as was the free parking. Internet only worked in the lobby area, but that was only issue. You will not go wrong if you choose this hotel.

Our second year running at La Calanque. It is very well located for town, beach and restaurants. Reception personnel are extremely pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast is Euro 10 has been improved since last year and is very competitive content-wise with cafes in town. Free parking at the hotel is limited, but spaces on the street going East are usually available, and if all else fails the Nouveau Port about 7 minutes walk is free.
The walking/cycling path along the coast following the old rail track starts at the roundabout outside the hotel.

We discovered this hotel last year, we were a little worried it might be a little tired and pokey. We loved it so much we returned this year, we were disappointed that it was booked out on one of our 3 available nights and we could only stay for 2. We take a large suite/room on the first floor that has a large balcony where we spend a lot if time relaxing, reading and soaking up the atmosphere. Others have adequately described the facilities and pool area. We return for the uniquely charming experience of how things used to be, the rooms have been modernised, thankfully there is a lift but the character of the place remains. Marianne is delightful and very helpful in suggesting restaurants. We hope the hotel remains as a family run concern for many years to come. It will always be a special place for us, that's why we rate it so highly. Thanks Marianne

We stayed here for our honeymoon 34 years ago and have spent 3 nights here in May to celebrate a milestone birthday. The town and port have expanded considerably but thank goodness La Calanque had not changed a great deal except for some internal redecoration and modernisation - nor does it really need to.
Auberge really means inn or guesthouse so do not expect a 5 star luxury hotel. However, this in no way detracts from the location and the ambience of this well run family establishment. All staff were extremely friendly, chatty and helpful. Our first floor room was smallish but with a large balcony - but there are larger rooms at higher prices. The views of the bay and the marina and the port itself are absolutely superb. Shops and excellent, if rather pricey restaurants can be reached in a matter of minutes. The Cote d'Azur was never the cheapest destination anyway even 30 years ago ! The hotel is B & B only with an excellent breakfast @ €10,00 extra, €4,00 for room safe lock plus a bar downstairs for an evening drink. All night reception was most helpful and also booked restaurant tables for us down by the port when asked. The swimming pool has been added over the years with pool bar, towels and La Lavandou also has a fine beach. There is access to the visible Isles d'Or from the port via passenger vessel to either visit for a ramble, bike ride for just an exhilarating round trip cruise.
All in all reassuringly unchanged. Thanks for all staff for a wonderful few days.

This place has a lovely style which appears not to have changed for years. The staff made our stay very comfortable, and it is well located for some special beaches.
I cant see this hotel remaining the same for long.

The location is perfect, just set off the main road which runs parallel to the beach, and an easy stroll to the port. The bathroom and room was very clean and the balcony was lovely. Breakfast was also very good and worth having. It was so lovely to have the garden as well.

The pillows however were awful and flat, and the wifi very weak unless in the front foyer.
