The hotel was more like a hacienda but a very empty one, possibly with reason. Booked last minute with booking.com at a more reasonable rate than normally charged but felt even then it was overpriced. We had two very, very large rooms over looking the garden and swimming pool.
The dark wood made the rooms look a bit dreary, but the large balconies with seating were pleasant and enjoyed the early morning sun. Massive amount of cupboard space, bathroom adequate with separate toilet. air conditioning was good. Breakfast was extra and extremely boring - should have left earlier and stopped at a café and would have been preferable. The pool was large and enjoyed sunbathing beside it on our arrival. Pleasantly surprised allowed to take bought drinks from the bar to the pool area to enjoy. Tennis courts were very close. A shame that the whole place had a feeling of lack of maintenance, the pool area needed to be smartened up as did the garden - manual labour and some cash injection to bring this hotel up to higher spec would have ensured more than the three or four rooms being used in July ! Not easy to find and certainly not within walking distance to beaches or St Tropez. The area was certainly different to areas we had been used to - must dusty, commercial - a little off the beaten track. Would I stay here again? Probably not unless it was upgraded. More guests staying would make it feel a little more alive - a bit depressing. Car parking outside - we were warned to not leave anything in it.
