“A Wonderful B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2011

We started our month-long stay in France at this B&B for one week and it could not have been a better start. Anne and Laurent are wonderful hosts and made our stay beyond expectation. The rooms were spotless and the fresh linens throughout the week were great (ironed linen sheets). They made us feel very much at home and we enjoyed sharing time with them, their family and their assortment of "pets" (Ringo the dog, the cats and the chickens).

The breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day - bread, croissants, coffee, juice and those wonderful homemade jams.

Their B&B is in a very convenient location to town (a three minute walk) with a great view of the old town and the chateau. And it is a very quiet setting. The Tuesday market in town is amazing - every street has vendors. We highly recommend staying here.

Best Regards,
Steve & Charlotte

Room Tip: We stayed in Les tilleus - view of town, old town, chateau and Mont Ventoux

This is an ideal, affordable, small French hotel just steps from the town and Roman ruins with its own lovely garden and tree-lined lawn. The rooms are basic and simple but clean and modern. Breakfast is simple, fresh and lovely. The hosts are friendly, helpful (in English as well) and familial. A perfect base from which to explore the town, the local area, and frankly most of Provence. Next time, this will be our first, rather than last, destination. Try to stay over Monday for the Tuesday morning market.

We very much enjoyed our two-night stay at this warm and hospitable B&B. A tastefully converted farm house, the B&B is owned and operated by a young family who live in the same structure. Great attention to detail, comfortable, and it could not be more convenient for a short walk into the center of Vaison la Romaine. Their breakfast room has a library of information resources for travelers, and the owners offer tips for local dining. Homemade preserves help accent a very nice breakfast. Very reasonably priced, and with lots of room for parking. We would love to go back and stay longer!

We loved this chambre d'hôte and our stay in Vaison-la-Romaine. Les Tilleuls d'Elisée is well located for exploring both the Roman ruins and the medieval village up on the hill by foot. The on-site parking is secure and the access in and out was convenient for a drive up the Mont Ventoux and wine tasting in the region. As others said, Laurent and Anne's recommendations for restaurants are helpful and diverse. We also appreciated the availability of a refrig and kitchen set-up in the breakfast room for keeping picnic supplies ready for the next day or for a light meal à emporter.

Great location for visiting Vaison as well as the other towns in the area. Nice and quiet area, but easy walk to the center of Vaison. Don't forget to ask Laurent for restaurant recommendations. He's knows the current good ones at reasonable prices.

This place is truly a great find. A restored farmhouse that now has some of the most comfortable rooms we stayed in during our trip through France, as well lovely grounds overlooking the city and the ever-looming Mt. Ventoux. The hosts were helpful and very kind. The yard served as a lovely setting for breakfast, as well as afternoon wine and snacks. The location is walkable to the town (5-10 min) yet removed enough to make you feel as if you have left the other tourists behind. Quiet, comfortable rooms make it easy to sleep and refresh in time for more exploration of this are the next day.
