“shadow of Ventoux at sunset”
Reviewed 17 May 2014

this was a restaurant highly recommended by Craig and Vicky from VeloVentoux (who have a place opposite the restaurant). There was a beautiful view of the vines stretching into the rolling hills, and behind us the mountain we had cycled up that morning. a beautiful setting, a ssuperb meal, excellent and extremely friendly service (notwithstanding the inadequacy of O grade French) and a half case of a superb Rose. I would highly recommend this restaurant, on many levels, but it was a simply lovely location

“Watch the sun setting.......”
Reviewed 8 November 2012

We were staying very close to this place in the village, so it had to be tried! Lovely spot looking out over the vineyards with both formal and more relaxing (eg sofas etc) seating arrangements.

I'd agree with everything the previous reviewer said, including prices probably a bit too high for what they serve. If you've already got dinner plans, it's a good place to relax early in the evening before it gets busy, with a chilled glass of their white wine and a couple of small dishes (......it it was Spain I'd say tapas).

We went twice! (it was actually Aug 2011 rather than 2012, but Tripadvisor would not allow a month earlier than Dec 2011 when entering the date)

“Nice food, good wine, lovely view, a bit too expensive”
Reviewed 29 March 2012

A wine domain with lovely outdoor eating. Good wines, nice food, and the view is excellent, though it is a very windy corner. Be prepared for waiting time when it's busy. We find the prices a bit too high for what they serve.

“A breath of fresh air - informal dining with great wine and a view”
Reviewed 1 October 2010

When the Gloriette closed up the road in Merindols Les Oliviers, we were looking for somewhere else to eat in the area, which had a bit of magic to it . Luckily we stumbled upon La Roche Buissiere. The place has a lovely relaxed feel with great views over the vines. The formula is very simple, there is a mix of tapas and food to share such as goats cheese with apple and honey in brik pastry or a wonderful choice of air dried beef and other charcuterie, lovely raviolis and fabulous bio ices and of course their own outstanding bio wines as well as wines from some of their friends'vineyards. It is different, very informal and in many ways breaks with tradition, but it is the French take on a wine bar and is great fun.

“Hidden Gem!”
Reviewed 23 June 2009

La Roche Buissiere - 3 nicer people you will struggle to meet. Pierre, Antoine and Laurence have created a little corner of paradise here in the nothern most tip of Provence.
Sitting on their wine bar terrace, drinking wine produced from the vinyards which compose the gobsmacking view whilst eating assiettes of locally produced fromage and charcuterie is as good as it gets.
Craig's recommendation - Flonflons - 50% grenache and 50% syrah - full of raspberries - beautiful!
