“We will be back!”
Reviewed 25 March 2014

My 2 friends and I stayed at Altis Val Vert at the beginning of March and it was an amazing experience. From the friendly staff and owners (Michele and Martine), great food and wine, clean accomodations and beautiful views and the close proximity to the gondola to Meribel, we would recommend this to anyone. We had a chance to meet the staff - Carole in reservations (just over e-mail), Michele at the bar and the chef one night at dinner and they were outstanding and attentive. We were accomodated in a 2 bedroom room, which was recently renovated and it was the perfect size for the 3 of us, with a great balcony overlooking the town. Easy access to Meribel and, if the gondola closes before you're ready to return home, easy and affordable taxis can take you back. We will defintely be returning next year. Thanks again, Michele and Martine!

Absolutely fantastic (boutique type) hotel, just refurbished and under 100m from the Olympic gondola. Friend and I were blown away by the value, the friendly staff, the food and our fellow guests. Resort is a bit quiet but if you don't mind that and the 25 mins up to Merribel it's a great option.

We stayed here for the first time at the end of January. Good clean room with bath that was perfect after a day skiing. The food was good and plentiful with Tartiflette, Choucroute, etc The staff were lovely, helpful people: always smiling. We will stay there again.

Val Vert is a hotel my wife and I have visited several times in the past eight or nine years. The welcome is always warm and there is a permanance about the key staff which helps in that respect. It is ideally placed for all the benefits of Brides les Bains both in winter and summer.
Family owned and run, the proprietors are always on hand to speedily solve any problems or meet any personal requests.

Rooms were good, jacuzzi and sauna were perfect after the day of snowboarding. Location of the hotel is great as well - just few minutes walk to the cable car. We went for half board and although the breakfast was ok, dinners were the worst we ever experienced in any HB accommodation in Europe so far (all the accommodation were of similar standard/ price). We weren't given any choice of the main meal, we weren't even given a menu of what we are going to get each day - the meals just arrived! We are not fussy eaters but there are some thing that neither me nor my husband like - like chicken terrine. When we asked for something else the staff wasn't really keen to accommodate our request. Also all the vegetables with the main meal were overcooked, and generally meals lacked taste. Desserts were the best parts of the dinner...

Stayed here a few days for a ski trip. Excellent hotel for the price. The staff are affable and helpful. The rooms vary a bit. The family room in Auberge is great for a family, recently renovated. Another double in that building, however, was average. Nothing wrong with it; just wouldn't want to spend a lot of time there due to size. Good value for money, however.

The breakfast was fine, offering what you would expect. The dinner was exceptional, given that it adds only 14 euros to your bill! Three courses, and all good! The dining room is quite pleasant, and the service good.,

I can not recommend strongly enough a stay at Altis Val Vert should you be lucky enough to visit Bride Les Bains. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and easy. We enjoyed amazingly generous breakfasts in the morning as well as delicious 3 course dinners each night. From use of their printer, assistance with car rentals, providing a "picnic" breakfast the night before our 5:00 a.m. departure--this hotel was 100% gracious to our raucous American ski group. The hotel is not elegant or fancy, but it is the real deal if you want to experience French life.
