“Nice location...pity madam was very rude”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

Breakfast is expensive for what it offers...but worst of all ended up paying the adult price for a 3 year old boy for breakfast. I was told by a member of staff that I will be charged for 3 adults - my husband, myself and the 5 year old girl but not the 3 year old boy. Understandably this is fair...On checking out, I SIMPLY ASKED the MADAM why I was charged for 4 persons. She literally burst out shouting at me and was VERY VERY RUDE scaring my 5 year old daughter telling me that the waitress is just an employee!!! I ended up paying the adult price of 11 euro per day for breakfast for my 3 YEAR OLD son. Pity her attitude will not make us return to this hotel again where we had a spacious room which was very clean. The area has amazing views and the restaurants in the vicinity are all so very good with very friendly staff.

Room Tip: We were in room 27 and it has a mountain view. Rooms on the other side do not have a view.

Thank you for taking the time to post a comment on your stay at Le Feug . Know that we apologize for the inconvenience regarding billing breakfast of your 3 year old child . When you have question about the bill the best is to go directly to the reception and not the restaurant staff (these are not fully aware of our billing policy). We inform you that any breakfast consumed is due. We recall that our breakfast buffet includes hot drinks (tea - coffee - milk) cold drinks (water - juices - milk ), fresh fruit, croissants , buns, sweets ( chocolate bread - loaves reasons) cereals, dairy products ( yogurt with fruit or plain, cheese plate ) , regional jams , charcuterie platter. On request we can prepare eggs ( boiled , fried or scrambled) . We regret that this evil heard you left a bitter taste ais stay. We also reported our team the positive points you raise about the cleanliness of the room.

We can do something about the grumpy staff but the beds are terrible. The rooms were cold and the photos of this hotel are certainly professional. The hotel is nothing like it is shown. Truly basic in every way. We did not eat at the hotel but the cooking smells lingered all evening. Plenty of local restaurants to go to so we did not bother with the very limited menu, If you want a lie in - forget it - sound travels through this hotel easily, hoovering, toilets flushing and doors banging any time from 6.30am. The sauna is a kit sauna placed in the basement, it has to be switched on for use and there are four plastic chairs on the exterior in a bleak looking tiled room for relaxation! Understandably we did not try it!

On the other hand it is within easy reach of Megeve and St Gervais and many other places, but then again there are also plenty of other places to stay.

Room Tip: Don't stay here - find somewhere else

Thank you for taking the time to post a comment on your stay at Le Feug . Know that we apologize for the inconvenience for the comfort of our mattresses, we wish to inform you that we change gradually all our bedding. Please note that the photos that we publish on the internet ( our site, tripadvisor , etc ...) are taken by us and not by a professional photographer. We also inform you that we recently decorated decorating our rooms by adding plaids and cousins as well as points of light , our future project is to completely redo our sauna. Regarding the kitchen we stress that our chef will prepare a fresh and refined cuisine with seasonal products, but also local dishes such as Savoyard fondue, raclette and tartiflette (these can leave a smell in the restaurant actually ) . We offer lunch and dinner menu ( Starter - Main course - dessert ) and our map. These evolve according to market products.
We have taken note of the noises that disturbed early in the morning and we informed our staff and have corrected the problem.

Even before we set off for our summer holiday in the French Alps we had warmed to this hotel where Madame spoke to us in very good English about taking a card payment. We very much enjoyed our stay. The view from the bedroom balcony over to Mont Blanc was complemented by the sound of cowbells but without any traffic noise. The room was exceptionally clean and well provided with enough electric points etc and free Wi-Fi.

Combloux is a friendly Alpine village a short drive away and the other attractions of the Mt Blanc tram and the telepherique at Chamonix were near at hand as well as some of the ski lifts to wonderfully advantageous viewpoints that were working throughout the summer.

Although we ate at some of the local restaurants the food provided by the hotel was the equal, if not better, than we had elsewhere and all of it freshly prepared by the Masterchef. The cost of the hotel meal was entirely reasonable. The wine list was comprehensive and competitively priced. The service was exceptionally friendly and polite.

We thoroughly recommend this hotel for any summer visitor to the French Alps.

It was a treat to see Mt. Blanc from our hotel balcony and to hear the faint music of cow bells in the morning. Also to see wild flowers. Madame Beaulieu was friendly and our room was modern and comfortable. From here we visited Chamonix, Plateau D'Assy with Notre Dame de Toutes Graces, and Annecy, and had dinner at a nearby upscale place. It was a very relaxing stay; There is a handy elevator and the breakfast was good and we appreciated the reasonable rate.

This hotel offers precisely what is promised, and not a drop more. Not even a smile. Clean but, even for a bare-bones ski hotel, grim.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during holiday period. I must say that the hotel was quiet, the staff is nice and the rooms are very clean. Breakfast is good.
It is not really well located for people wanting to walk to ski resort. The car is needed for that.
There is a car park with a limited number of places but we never had trouble to park our car.
I advice this hotel!
