“Worst service ever!!!”
Reviewed 14 March 2012

We did not even get to try the food since the waiter was so obnoxious and uninterested in taking our order. He did not even let us finish the order before running away, despite the restaurant being half empty, and acted in a very rude and aggressive way. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

“GREAT FUN IN A GREAT VENUE”
Reviewed 3 February 2012

Went to Fondue en Folie on are Chalet hosts night off. Had a gread time, the set up is nice and the pully system they use for the breadbasket is great fun.

You share the fondue between a min of two of you.

we had a couple of demi's of wine.

Total cost was around 26euros per person which was really good considering your in resort.

This was a great little restaurant specialising in Fondue, with two girls this was a great sharing experiance for the whole family. And the chocolate fondue for dessert was just amazing.

“Fantastic, but you will probably need to book ahead.”
Reviewed 16 October 2011

We've eaten here a few times and never got past the house cheese fondue as it is so good. The baskets of bread are suspended from pulleys over your table and I love the idea of the surprise hong kong pudding!

“Raw meats mixed with salad and slow surly service”
Reviewed 7 March 2011

We chose La Fondue en Folie for a meal as my daughter works in Alpe D'Huez and her friends all liked this place.
Things did not start too well - the 3 of us were crammed into a table in the corner by the window (despite haveing booked). A very cold draft flowing in so avoid sitting beside the window! Uncomfortable. The place was full so no other seating offered.
It took us over 45 minutes to see any food and about 25 minutes before the wine was served.
The 2 waitresses were doing all the could to avoid any eye contact. They were clearly busy and did not want to be there. No smiles. Why employ people like this? This place is advertised as 'fun' and 'crazy' but no one told the staff.
Zero food hygiene here as one the one plate the raw meats - duck, chicken and beef were servied on the same plate and touching the salad. If this place was in the UK it would be closed down.
So - the the mixed meat fondue. Tired sad chewy beef - cut into big chunks rather than the thin slices a fondue requires. The duck was very rubbery. The factory farmed chicken little better.
This was to be a fun and special meal but eneded up a bad joke accompanied with an 80+ Euros bill for 3.
Poor value, poor service and well worth traversing away from on your ski holiday.
