It's the best snow holiday ever. Very Nice, friendly and wonderful hosts. It was an unique experience. The chalet has and excellent view On the mountains. Lorraine and Andy were incredible... The helped us in every possible way to make oir stay perfect. The breakfast and food could not be beter. The other guest were also Amazing. Just one big family.
Dit was de mooiste skivakantie ooit. Zo gastvrij ontvangen. Kortweg: PERFECT!!

I travelled with my girlfriend here in Feb 2014. The Chalet is in a stunning location with a view of the valley, and as it's tucked away it's very quiet at night time. There's a good mini-bus service to the slopes - you can decide amongst those staying at the Chalet where the morning pick-up and drop-off is, and what time - which is handy.

Lorraine and Andy are excellent hosts and very welcoming. They helped out when the car was stuck in the snow (my fault for getting summer tyres from the French side at Geneva), and the food was a very high standard with the menus well thought through.

We would definitely stay here again.

My family and I had a really wonderful time staying at Chalet Cannelle in the Summer of 2013. It was a unique experience of using all the facilities of an area geared for Winter Sports and yet we were able to use those facilities to take us on fabulous walks seeing the most beautiful snow topped mountain peaks. Lorraine and Andy were incredible hosts and we are indeed debited to them for helping us in any way possible to make our stay enjoyable. The food could not have been better and I loved my own pesonal ensuite bedroom. Their were so many places for adults and children to relax and I often thought how wonderful it would be, as a child, to enjoy their two private playrooms. Thank you dear Lorraine and Andy for a wonderful, wonderful holiday, Glennis

The Chalet is absolutely beautiful and the hosts are wonderful. It is warm, clean, spacious and luxurious and the views are outstanding. I stayed there with friends and my 4 yr old daughter and we all had a great holiday. The chalet is very child friendly with no hidden dangers, a real bonus when travelling with the little one as it allowed me to relax and enjoy it. I really cannot fault it and can't wait to go back next year :-)

Wow - what a holiday! We booked Chalet Cannelle for a week's skiing holiday - and we got so much more. Lorraine and Andy are perfect hosts, wonderful homemakers and excellent cooks and we felt welcome, relaxed and pampered from the moment we arrived. The rooms are immaculate, tastefully decorated with lovely touches - the beds are really comfortable, the bathrooms are modern with plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. Chalet Cannelle has true wow factor - Andy and Lorraine's personal style really makes it a cut above the generic chalet. In fact, it felt like our own private boutique hotel. In our party were children ranging from 4 to 12 years old - and they had a superb time too - the play room upstairs and the open plan main floor was excellent for them, with extra touches like dressing-up clothes, games consoles and great DVD selection. One day, the children built a snowman - with apples for eyes and a carrot nose provided by Andy and Lorraine. All the children enjoyed the food - Andy's cooking is so good that they eagerly tried everything - and usually asked for seconds. Andy and Lorraine really went the extra mile - in fact, miles quite literally - taking us to & fro the slopes and sometimes joining us there too. It was a lovely chalet to come back too after an invigorating day on the slopes - not least because there was cake and friendly chat to greet us. Chatel is a pretty town and there is a supermarket within a stone's throw from the chalet. Our party ranged from an expert dare-devil snowboarder to more cautious ladies and excitable children - and the skiing at Chatel suited all our needs. We have already booked for next year - we could not have asked for a better holiday. In fact, we all felt 'home sick' for Chalet Cannelle when we returned to England!

Chalet Cannelle was recommend to us by a friend who had nothing but wonderful things to say about it......and they weren't wrong.

This was mine and my daughters first time skiing and snow boarding but my partner has been many times before. He had never been to Chatel so it was a first for all of us.

When booking our rooms over the internet Lorraine was prompt with her responses, costs and information which really help us make the right decision. Lorraine organised our pick up from the airport, equipment to be fitted when we arrived and at the accommodation and arranged for lessons on the slopes, she made it all very easy with no stress at all.

Transfer time was approx. 1.5hrs and took us past Lake Geneva! When we arrived it was lovely to put a face to a name! Lorraine and Andy, were perfect hosts through out our stay, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Nothing was ever a problem and they couldn't do enough to make sure our stay with them was wonderful.

Our rooms were beautifully decorated, clean and modern but with traditional elements also. The main living area has the most spectacular views over the mountains and with it's lovely open living space made it very sociable in the evenings when the other guests were there.

Well what can I say about the food......5* would be an understatement. Breakfast was at a time of your convenience and the choice was varied and lots of it, which set you up great for a full day on the slopes.

When we returned from the cold there was always a hot drink and lovely homemade fresh cake or biscuits.. Our evening meal started with canapés around 45mins before dinner which was then a further 3 courses. Each evening had a theme and the food was to die for, I have never eaten so well! They provided wine to suit the meal and soft drinks as needed. Every detailed was thought about and executed beautifully. And all meals were enjoyed at a large dinning room table make by Andy - gorgeous.

The village of Chatel gave us wonderful skiing/snowboarding and great access to many other slopes and very easy to get to. Andy and Lorraine shuttled us to the slopes there and back every day and we did pop on and off the bus with no trouble at all when required. In our 6 days there we covered only a small fraction of the slope and will definitely go back for more.

Can't wait to visit again.....will have to start planning soon! Thanks to Andy and Lorraine for a great holiday and wonderful memories of our first ski trip as a family.

Room Tip: The Antler room has great views of the mountain. Comfy King size bed also.
