All I can say is brilliant holiday - I had a brilliant time. Hotel was clean, good location, great skiing..The Spa was great and we used it lots !
I had a standard room., south facing which was ideal - next time I will probably treat myself to a Superior room.
The resort was great and very good value.
I would say that we hope Ski Power will move to drinks etc all included next season and Pip Parry that I spoke to indicated that this was the plan.
Great Value and I am booking for march next season..

This hotel was really comfortable and we had a great stay on the last week of the season. The location is terrific. Views from the breakfast room are fantastic and the shuttle bus to and from the the slopes takes you to the main chair lifts in about 3 mins and is really handy. We walked back from the slopes a couple of afternoons with our 8 year old son in our ski gear so that we could stop off at the shops etc, and the walk back to the hotel was not that bad at all. The lounge area was very comfortable and the views are again stunning. We didn't drink much from the bar, like others, but paid corkage on our own wine bought locally. More reasonable bar prices, greater choice and maybe a happy hour would have been a good alternative. Our view was that you don't stay in a 3 star hotel and expect to pay top end drinks prices, that seems to me to undermine the whole après ski side of the holiday experience and is what has led many customers to feel short changed at this hotel this season. With that in mind people have gone on to pick fault quite unnecessarily at things that are in fact absolutely fine at this hotel. The spa for example is a bit dated but really great. A swimming pool, steam room and hot tub at the end of the day was fantastic.

Room Tip: The upgrade is apparently good but we didn't do it.

Really disappointed in this hotel - we thought we'd got a great deal with Ski power on our ski holiday and the booking process was pretty straightforward. We hadn't used Skipower before and sadly it turned out that it was a very poor quality holiday and therefore it was cheap. Don't be fooled into thinking its good value trip - you really do get what you pay for.

TRANSFERS - Be aware that they stress that the airport transfers are free - this seems to mean that they can keep everyone hanging around for - literally - hours on the bus before setting off. Really frustrating when no-one seems to have a clue when we were due to set off.

ARRIVAL - When we got to the resort, we were turfed off the bus at the bottom of a hill with our bags and told to walk approx. 100m up a steep hill to the hotel at the bus could not get right to the hotel. I understand it was a steep slippery hill but it would have been nice to have some help from the staff.

When we arrived, check-in was a total bunfight! Very disorganised and it took hours.

RESTAURANT AND BAR - The food was rather minimal and although the chefs seemed to have tried hard - it was obvious that their budgets were tiny. It was very hit and miss - a few meals were nice but most were like school dinners. Be aware that you have to book a table for dinner. They didn't ask us to do this at the beginning of the week and we ended up going for dinner at 7:30 but not being able to sit down to eat until almost 10pm!

The staff told us that there was a sickness bug going around the hotel when we went which worried us as we had our young son with us so we did eat out some nights to limit the risk as much as possible. The hotel's idea of limiting the spread of the bug was to place one bottle of hand sanitiser in reception!

The bar was expensive - about the same as on the slopes. The barman was grumpy and ran out of a lot of basic things - for example...coke!

BEDROOMS - It wasn't very clean - I think I saw someone cleaning once during the week! Our room was on the top floor and was ample for our needs, but a bit scruffy. There was quite a lot of dust in the room and there were no hand towels or bathmats. It took quite a while for these to arrive (after I had been down to reception as the phone didn't work). Our TV didn't work at all during the week which wasn't a huge deal as we were out a lot but the staff didn't seem at all bothered when we said it was broken. The showers were nice and the water hot on most occasions. The views from the bedrooms and dining room were the single best thing about the hotel - stunning.

STAFF AND LOCATION - The young girls that work at the hotel tried hard but seemed to have little supervision or guidance. The mini-bus drivers were good - knowledgable and helpful. Be aware that it is quite an arduous, hilly walk to the slopes with skis, boots, etc without the mini-bus so don't miss them! It is about 15 mins in normal boots but took me forever in skiboots!

POOL - The pool was pretty cold and rather tatty but again - the holiday was very cheap. The view from the pool was lovely though. The gym in 3 machines (out of order when we went).

OVERALL - In all honesty, there are so many ski companies out there, I would definitely avoid using Skipower again - it all seemed very disorganised and low budget. My overall impression of Skipower is that they need to update their hotel, clean it more regularly, improve the food quality and price the drinks more fairly.

Having read the previous reviews my expectations were low, however I was pleasantly surprised when seeing the hotel. We arrived early and the hotel staff helpfully told us when we could expect our room to be ready. The room (303/4) had a great view, lovely beds and plenty of storage. It got a bit warm during the night but we just opened the door.

Our kids loved the pool area, but were not too keen on the food. The menu was great for adults but for fussy kids like mine a blander kids menu would have been good. For example the starter on one day was a choice between, brockoli and blue cheese soup or tuna salad (both very nice). To be fair the kids in our group were offered alternatives on some evenings later on in the week which meant that at least they ate something other than bread for dinner.

We generally took the diaple lift up which was only a short walk from the hotel, on some days we got the mini bus to drop us there.

Overall a great place to stay in particular if you have kids.

Room Tip: It is worth spending a bit extra to get a superior room with better beds and views.

stayed for a week in march/April, initial thoughts were hotel a bit tired, room good and big enough, amazing views, decent spa but forget the gym, chef very good and did very well on the budget he must of had, 5stars, waitresses fast and efficient, polite and nothing too much trouble. Bar as expensive as the slopes and limited choice which made us go out more to be fair, barman both great, "Irish" an absolute diamond geeza though!! Easy ride to the slopes courteousy of the free shuttle bus. Limited choice of menu for kids, but was end of season and only a few of us there, could do with coffee making in room as 3.50 euro in the bar a bit hard to swallow every time. Wine at dinner as expensive as the Ritz, 20 euro cheapest bottle!! buy it for 1/5 price at the supermarket and bar had no happy hour which made the après ski even more appealing! Only real downer was the 6 hr wait at the airport due to the early transfer, never did get to the bottom of that one?? On the whole a good stay, better than I expected for the price and have paid more and got a lot less so we were all happy bunnies, had a good stress free holiday

Having read some of the previous feedback for La Farandole, I was a little apprehensive about the stay. I need not have worried though. La Farandole is a gem. Our room was modern, well appointed and spacious with fabulous views. Getting to the slopes was a breeze with the free courtesy minibus laid on by the hotel to and from the Jandri gondola or a short walk to the nearby Vallee Blanch chairlift. Food was excellent throughout the stay; the chef is clearly passionate about food and the front of house team were attentive and friendly. The hotel spa facilities were great. We enjoyed a steam room, hot tub, swimming pool and sauna, all very relaxing after each day on the slopes. All at a very competitive price.

In short, I had an excellent stay in this friendly and professionally run hotel. Michael the manager and the rest of his helpful and friendly 'Ski Power' team did a great job and I would recommend this hotel to others.

Just returned from a stay at this Hotel, Having read the previous reviews we were expecting a little bit of a rough ride, however, the room was superb, clean, warm, new with plenty of room. The food was great, well served by staff who made the effort to make you feel welcome. The Pool, Sauns and Steam room were a great way to relax at the end of the day. Yes the Bar was a little under stocked and the wine was expensive but we took a box in for our meals and only had to pay the corckage once. The boot room was OK, the boot dryer was great. Free internet was good and the minibus to the slopes was great. For a budget Hotel this was well worth the money. Michael the Manager was very helpfull and made an effort to get to know everyone. Thank you

Room Tip: Stayed in room 301, great view with the full width window overlooking the slopes.
