Fantastic location. Clean rooms and pleasant staff.
If you want a 3,4 or 5 star this is not for you although it does compare to a 4star in Andorra and breakfast is comparable.

Breakfast consists of bread, cereal and yogurt with jam and butter which is served per table so no greedy people. Meat and cheese would not go a miss.

Resort is great for beginners and intermediate alike with a fair range of runs.

Beers out on slopes expensive but in town not too bad, roughly about 5 euros per pint.

Did not eat out but lovely little pizza place, pizza cyan great value for excellent pizza and chips.

Top tip take you own sneaky spirt to add to your hot chocolate. Much better than a cold beer. The hot chocolate near the white eggs exit is the best.

We arrived in Les Deux Alpes after a 2 hour transfer from Grenoble airport. I was travelling with my boyfriend, both intermediate skiers. Les Lutins hotel was the first hotel stop and we were welcomed by the lady that runs it. She checked us in, gave us our room key & the key codes that are needed to enter both the hotel and boot-room.

The hotel is situated directly opposite the main gondola - The Jandri Express. The hotel is on the main street, in the middle of the resort & has a front exit onto the main street, or a back exit via the boot-room. There is also a little bar attached to the side, which seems popular with locals and serves paninis, wraps & sandwiches. It is close to all the main bars and restaurants.

The boot-room is located in the basement of the hotel - it's heated and full of lockers. Your bedroom key also operates your locker, and is plenty big enough for 2 sets of skis/poles/boots. We also left our ski-coats in the lockers each evening.
There is an Intersport rental shop right next to the hotel, which we had our equipment from.

The bedroom we stayed in was on the second floor and had a shared balcony. The room itself had a double bed plus a single bed, a table and chairs, 2 wardrobes and it was very spacious. The decor was dated, lots of wooden panels, but I didn't go on a skiing holiday to moan about how my room is decorated, The bed was probably the most comfortable I've had on a holiday, including those from 4* & 5* hotels! The room was very warm, we turned the heating off most days and there was plenty of hot water for us both to have a bath in the night. The toilet is in a separate room to the bath & sink. There are plenty of power sockets throughout.

There is no fridge in the room but any drinks we bought (from the supermarket down the road) we left outside on the balcony which kept them at a nice cold temperature. There are lovely views of the mountain from the balcony.

The breakfast is served between 8am-10am - there is a choice of cereal and yoghurts set out and once you have sat down, the lady who runs the hotel brings you a glass of orange juice and a basket of bread, croissants and other pastries. She also asks if you would like tea, coffee or hot chocolate. There are plenty of jams & butter to choose from, which are already laid on the table.

Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel as an excellent base for skiing/snowboarding in L2A.

Just returned from a week at les lutins with my wife. Does exactly what is says on the tin. Less than 2 minutes walk from the jandri express. Very clean with beds made every day and towels changed when needed. Nice and warm with plenty of hot water. Breakfast very basic but more than enough to start the day. Boot room warm and locker had plenty of space for 2 sets of kit. The small bar attached to the hotel is very popular with the locals but equally welcoming to guest. Would defiantly stay here again should we return to les duex alpes.

This hotel is about a minute walk to the main lifts and for the ESF ski school for children.
Our room for the three of us,as we have a three and a half year old son, was spacious with a balcony and comfortable beds.We also had an entrance hall, seperate toilet and bathroom.
The room was warm and not too hot unlike some we have stayed in. There is a nice bar and they do food in the day time, a pity that this was not extended into the evening however there are plenty of other places to eat in Les2Alpes.Breakfast is cereals, yoghourts, croissants and bread with a supply of jams and butter. Coffee or tea. Simple but enough to keep you going.
We would recommend it and would definitely go there again.

Stayed here one week. Great location near the slopes and main lifts, also close to the shops and bars.

Room large, clean and warm with a nice balcony. No issues with hot water, good space for all ski clothes in the room and boot room and lockers were clean, warm and dry.

Breakfast was 8-10am every day very basic but plenty to fill up on.

The lady who runs the hotel was nice, polite and always helpful.

To sum up this is a perfect budget hotel would recommend to friends and family and would definitely stay there again.

Visited Les Deux Alpes with a group of keen skiers In March 2014.

Found Les Lutins Hotel to be in an excellent accomodation in the centre of Les Deux Alpes and only 50 yards from the main Jandri Gondola. Good sized clean rooms, and whilst the bathroom was a little tired, there was a constant supply of hot water for showers, so often lacking in ski resorts. Ski/boot room facilities available with a locker for each room. The rooms all had balconies with superb views of the Alps.

Breakfast was simple - cereal, yoghurt, bread, jam, juice and coffee/tea - but just as expected.

Small bar area attached to the hotel which is popular with locals, and provides bar meals throughout the day.

If your priority is to ski, and you just want somewhere cheep, cheerful and clean to sleep, then this is the one for you. I will be going back.

The hotel is basic accommodation. Rooms were spacious and had a balcony overlooking the French Alps along with seating outside. Bathrooms could be improved as I found a few cracks around the sink. Overall, the hotel was very clean and the boot room had plenty of storage for skis and boots. Access to the main gondola is only 50 metres away and the hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Les Deux-Alpes.

My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. Bread everyday but no selection of continental meats or cheese. Didn't really provide a good enough selection.
