“Great GO's and skiing, a little let down by the hotel location and facilities”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2014

We stayed in February 2014 - the skiing and ambiance was exactly what I was expecting from a Club Med skiing holiday - all inclusive is great value and the ski instructors and school are right inside the hotel - really convenient!

On the downside - I found the rooms to be on the small side, a real squeeze - to walk past the bed to bed to the window you've got to walk sideways! The rooms also lacked sufficient hanging for damp skiing clothes... There is no boutique in this hotel, not any keep fit or other sport facilities - also no spa, but I knew this in advance. Stomping up steps every day to the ski lifts was not to my particular liking :-(

The mini club was great - kids are really taken care of, and the skiing lessons are great for kids.

The food was good and plentiful and the all-inclusive wine choices were perfectly suitable. Bar was great as usual, and the après ski at Club Med is always fantastic - from the end of day get together, cocktails, nibbles, shows etc. all great stuff.

Not sure if I would return to this village because of the room size - but to be honest, the holiday was really good value for money all considered.

Tiny tiny bedrooms, club med a terrible company to deal with, this is a big hotel - 240 kids in one hotel!? nice staff in hotel and great kids club, food good, enormous bar area (thats very crowded), ridiculous ski hire prices - go elsewhere

Room Tip: Book a corner suite if you want to avoid wall grazes getting round the bed.

We stayed in February, 2 adults and 2 children - 14 and 10 to years old.
We have stayed at the following club meds, Avoriaz, Tignes, Peissey Vallandry and La Plagne.
Avoriaz and Les Deux Alpes are 3 star, the others are 4/5, however this is reflected in the price.
We were more than happy with this resort, the walk to the lift was a bit of a pain up some metal stairs, however there is a lift in a nearby block which nobody uses!!
Food was great, as in other reviews, rooms basic but fine, we had 2 interconnecting rooms.
The resort is easy to get to via the bus stop outside, great for a wander around and a coffee or snack, very pretty.
My only negative would be the skiing in this resort, blacks at the bottom, nice reds and blues at top and the lifts were closed a lot due to wind. We lost 2 days due to weather.
Loves the resort itself, hotel fine for a 3 star, skiing not so great.
Great swimming pool opposite the hotel for days when not skiing.

Clean rooms and bathrooms albeit a bit small. Totally carefree vacation...skiing, kids, foods and drinks all taken care of. Staff out did themselves for evening entertainment. Manager Said took special interest and was on the floor to meet and greet guests at all times. Great experience. Sold on club med after this holiday! Will do another one soon.

This is our 3th Clubmed Ski resort experience after Cervinia and Avoriaz. With young children we do appreciate the concept of the mini-club. I can't really find any alternative to this 'all-in kid's entertainment and care formula' that Clubmed offers. Les deux Alpes is not quite as good as Cervinia, but it is also a lot cheaper. However, they do a lot better then Avoriaz wich is in the same price/trident bracket. Better rooms (small, but more than enough storage), good beds, good service, excellent food (really very close to Cervinia's 4 trident level). The ski area is very well organised, large enough, good instructurs, good snow at very high altitude, even in april. The only minor point : the rooms are a bit noisy, i wouldn't like to have had one near the elevators. Definitely worth another visit, but with clear agreement on the room location.

Room Tip: eight floor is highest, low numbers are close to elevator.

This was our first Club Med experience and we will definitely visit Club Med again. Every activity in the hotel was well organized. The staff in Mini club was treating children like their own. Our children couldn't wait to go to mini club which made for a stress free holiday. Mini club did everything from putting on their boots, hats, scarves, helmets.
The food was fantastic and plenty of choice! The hotel is 3 min walk to ski lifts, but younger kids were taken to ski school (which is in the center of the resort) by hotel bus. Skiing was very good in Les Deux Alpes in April. Even green slope, leading to the village, was open, which is very handy with smaller children if they cannot use black one yet.
The only thing I was disappointed is size of rooms. There is no space to keep baggage away.
The other thing is that we were not given a notice about flight time change. Lucky, that it was moved two hours onward not vice versa. So we got on a flight but had to spend whole afternoon in the airport.

I spent a week there between the dates of 16.3.14 - 23.3.14 and i must say the Club Med team and personal were the worst I have ever seen. The chef of the village was very impolite and when asked for helped refused claiming we're interrupting his dinner, the reception team didn't want to hear about your problems with their room and in the dining room we had to wait for more then 30 minutes before we could sit and eat. I wouldn't go there any more, the site is great, the club is nice but the Club Med personal are terrible!! Be Ware!
