Just back from an enjoyable week in Les Gets. The chalet is in a very good location, handy for the shops/bars and about a 6 minute walk in ski-boots to the Chavannes lift.
The bedrooms are showing their age now, and the underfloor heating meant we were too hot at night (but was great for drying out wet towels). The modern lounge areas downstairs were well-furnished but did seem cold and characterless, so we barely used them. The hot tub was fine, as was the sauna.
Ben's cooking was excellent and I can't fault the service - even when he was off, Lindsey coped brilliantly. Breakfast ran really efficiently, as did the dinner service - the team were very competent and helpful. There was an impressive selection of teas. The dining room was spacious, yet cosy - our mealtimes were very sociable affairs :-)
Only minor niggles - a change of towels midweek would have been welcome, and why is there no outdoor furniture on the terrace? (it was sunny and 20 degrees all week). Sizewise, the heated boot room was fine, but something should be done about the smell!
Overall, though, thanks to everyone for making our stay an enjoyable one.More
