Chalet Martinet
Reviewed 13 March 2014

If we thought we were well looked after last year, what can we say about this year?!
After a great stay in 2013 we decided to return to Chalet Martinet for a second time this year and returned only a week ago.
The chalet was up to it's usual standard of exceptional quality and the service and customer care provided by Hazel, not forgetting her superb catering skills, was second to none. Thank you Hazel.
We took with us this time, not only our son and his girlfriend but also two other friends of ours who commented that the week was 'mint'!
Fantastic location at the foot of the Perriere lift and next door to the ski shop, hot tub outside (great for evening relaxation and 'fizz' under the stars) and sauna across the way (don't forget your flip flops - snow is cold!). The regular bus service up the incline to Les Gets is just down the road from the chalet and the walk back home (down the slope) takes about 10 minutes.
If you want some great accommodation, to be well looked after and to be in a fantastic resort, Gina, Marcus and their team will not let you down. Thanks guys, hopefully see you next time :)

Room Tip: Downstairs are fine but upstairs get a balcony overlooking the Alps!

We chose reach4thealps after reading all the positive reviews on tripadvisor and weren't disappointed. We'd booked to stay in Chalet Alouette (next door to Martinet) with a couple of friends but were all asked to move to Martinet to help reach4thealps with a group booking but it wasn't a problem as they chalets are almost identical. We had good contact with staff during the booking process who, not being able to give us a room we'd asked for, very kindly gave us a free bottle of champagne! I also received a text on arrival at Geneva airport to confirm transport arrangements, as our flight had arrived early, which was useful. The trip to the chalet was easy and though our rooms weren't quite ready on arrival we were able to leave our things there and head out onto the slopes (after a nice cup of tea!) for the afternoon. Hazel, the chalet host, was very welcoming and really helpful during our stay, providing excellent meals and advice, with nothing being too much trouble. The chalet was comfortable and in excellent condition, and had the benefit of an outside hot tub (which we used every day) and a sauna in the boot room (which we didn't use); it was also ideally located next to a ski hire shop and a short walk away from the Perriere ski lift, which it was possible to ski back to down a nice red run. It was also on a bus route into Les Gets, which wasn't too far away, if you wanted some night life as there's not much in Les Perrieres apart from a small bar in a local hotel about 5 minutes walk down the road. The ski area (our pass covered Les Gets and Morzine) was great for 4 days skiing and the snow conditions were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with reach4thealps and have no hesitation in recommending them - we'll certainly be back!

Brought our 3 children and my sister and her family to Chalet Martinet in early January, 2014. This chalet was superb. Hazel and the rest of the team were fantastic. Food was to die for and was a great treat getting such beautiful food made for us all. Ski in Ski out at this chalet is brilliant. The hot tub went down well with everybody. The kids had a ball and enjoyed the food also. These chalets are the only way to enjoy a skiing holiday will certainly be going back. Thanks to all

From the booking experience, through payment, onto transfer and then the stay the whole holiday was easy stress free. The chalet itself was well equipped and Hazel, our chalet host, was professional, friendly, helpful and a good cook too! Everything ran smoothly and would thoroughly recommend Reach4thealps.com for you ski holiday.

A great short break in Chalet Martinet at the end of January. We stayed in one of the triple rooms upstairs with balcony. Very comfortable and nice bathroom. The chalet is very well maintained and clearly well looked after by Hazel and Lauren. They were both brilliant hosts and are an asset to reach4thealps. The food and hospitality was of a very high standard, certainly beyond the usual chalet fare with excellent presentation.

The chalet is located towards the edge of Les Gets village and is a approx. a ten minute (slightly uphill!) walk into the village centre. However it is extremely close to Perrieres lift which quickly gets you into the great area above Chavannes and then over to Nyon and Morzine if you wish. We took advantage of the complementary minibus service with Lauren one day and got a lift to the newly opened Prodains cable car up to Avoriaz. It took 30 minutes from the chalet to the middle of Avoriaz, fantastic service.

You can return to within 2 minutes of the chalet by keeping right handed on the Perrieres piste, crossing the road and across the small wooden bridge. The ski hut for storage is located here, about 30m from the chalet and close to hot tub. We recommend La Paika above La Turche for vin chaud on the last run down. Apres ski in this area of Les Gets at the end of Jan is very low-key (there is none!). Fortunately the honesty bar and hot tub at the chalet made up for this. On chalet night off we ate at Restaurant Pela opposite the ice rink in the village, which was excellent, and we also enjoyed Bar Bush just round the corner on a couple of occasions too. We'd have no hesitation in recommending reach4thealps and booking to go with them again.

Wonderful few days in Chalet Martinet. Great location for the Perrieres chairlift - you can ski back to within a 2 minute walk to the chalet. Rooms are comfortable and clean, towels are large and fluffy and bathrobes are ideal for the hot tub. Hazel and Lauren were brilliant - fab food with a smile. Will certainly be booking with Reach for the Alps again as they provide such a professional, friendly service.

Reach for the alps yet again have provided us with a superb holiday. Hazel and the rest of the team were fab. The location for access to the piste, rental shop and bar can't be beaten. Food was delicious and very healthy, especially the duck, which was cooked to perfection. Thanks to all.
