“Very good now but will be excellent!”

Just got back from staying at this new British-run hotel. It's been totally modernised and is now aimed at the higher end of the market. Staff are all English-speakers and are delightful. Hospitality is exemplary. Rooms decorated in neutrals and are very comfortable. This is luxury without prentention. Food is of a high standard although breakfasts were rather average. However as a new hotel, Sami (manager) and Jess at the desk were very eager to have any feedback good or bad that they may rectify things for the future. And we know that if we go back, breakfasts will be better. Look forward to trying the spa when it opens. Must mention the bar too

Room Tip: Live music on a Saturday night in the bar but we were not disturbed.

We ski somewhere different every year and always stay in hotels. The Chamois d'Or is a breath of fresh air in terms of ski hotels. It is chic and modern but also warm and inviting to return to after a day on the slopes. The staff are keen to please and the food is exceptional - Michelin standard in our opinion. The hotel is a very short walk to the piste (although we kept our skis in the ski hire shop by the ski lift, where they also gave us a discount for being guests of the Chamois d'Or). The skiing in Les Gets is fantastic and we were lucky enough to ski with the hotel owner on one occasion! We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Ok, we visited the hotel early January and obviously the very last finishing touches in the place still needed to be done, but what a week anyway. The place is brand new and very nice, modern enough and spaceous. Young stuff was one of the stars of the hotel, very friendly and very pleasing. Because of them the evenings (and some nights) were full of laughter and honest fun on decent French prices. Rooms are beautiful and have all that you need. And now the main point - food. If you like good food then this is the place to be in Les Gets. The set menu was more than enough of what we wanted or expected. The chef spoiled us that our ears clapped with joy.
Now, there's minor things yet to be done, but we cannot wait to return.

Great hotel with a friendly relaxed atmosphere,in a perfect location in a perfect French Alpine village.
Yes the beds are comfy the towels are fluffy and the rooms are warm and ours was lovely and quiet (room8).With a large walk in wet room.
But...where are the tea making facilities in the room??...I was gasping at 6 am for a cuppa!
The staff are all very welcoming and willing to help...and the food was lovely !
I look forward to a return visit!!!

Room Tip: We were in room 8 ..and were very happy !

We really enjoyed our break at Chamois d'Or which exceeded our expectations all round. As a property it's a superb refurb, and clearly a large investment has been made by the owners.

The location is great, and the recommended ski hire shop at the foot of the lifts has storage so that you don't have to cart back skis to the hotel. Don't panic, it's a short amble (5 mins or so) to the slopes; but the nice thing is once you're done you can deposit your skis and then potter about the village.

The hotel staff are just lovely and we were made very welcome and looked after really well. The vibe here is relaxed and friendly.

The food is terrific - half board meant a set menu, but with flexibility around the things you didn't like which was ideal. My kids ate from the set rather than kids' menu but, given what we had each evening; I imagine that menu would also be good. Breakfast was also very good - a small buffet selection plus hot options to order.

Drinks and wine were reasonably priced but if you want to push the boat out on the wine list, there's a wide range of choices.

The games room & spa wasn't open, but we're looking forward to these being available when we go back next season - dates already booked!

Fantastic hotel with warm and friendly staff! The standard of accomodation is exceptional with fine attention to detail.
The restaurant is also well worth a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel - some of the best dining I have experienced on my visits to The Alps.
Will be sure to return there on my next visit to Les Gets!
